The producers of Avenue Q lobbied the Tony voters, especially the members involved in touring, with the premise that it would be a big tour item and in their best interests. It edged out Wicked. Ironically, the producers then turned their back on the tour operators and took a deal with Steve Wynn in Las Vegas where he built a theater for them and it became a sit down show at the Wynn that lasted awhile. Wicked, however, may run for ever or until the world stops manufacturing teenage girls.

There is a term called a "fat book" which means the book writer writes the script and places the songs with a brief description of the content of the song, an "I Want" song, a moving the story forward song, or an emotion takes over song in a ballad. Some composers and lyricists, even big names, prefer this as the heavy story lifting is done, they have road maps for the song content, that triggers a song style and off they go. The Honeymooners is the right size show for the Wilson. Krtzer and McGrath would kill in there and its ready to go from what I heard.

I Uber to JFK or taxi. I have had problems getting an Uber FROM JFK and usually hit the taxi line or the Airtran to subway or LIRR..Anyone else have Uber problems from JFK?

Hogan is absolutely right. I make the trip all the time from TS by subway and the AirTran to the JetBlue Terminal... I always enter the subway 2.5 hours before the flight time... I would avoid the expressway by taxi or town car on a Friday eve....

I have a friend in the Ensemble and got into the Lab in April. The show is funny as hell and the lyrics quite clever. McGrath and Azaria are a good team and Kritzer was amazing as always. Geri Vichy almost stole the show as the cranky old man and Lewis Cleale was the bad guy from Madison Avenue. It reminded me of "The Producers" and "How to Succeed" but with a lot of heart. I was sobbing at the emotional ending as were several others around me. My friend thinks they may come in in the spring.

I disagree with JoeyEvans1206. I also saw the Workshop last fall and really liked the show. I'm a Pete Mills fan and I thought the lyrics were very clever and the songs had great hooks. The book was funny, there were some unexpected twists and a lot of heart. The performers were terrific.
