I'm thinking bandstand.
After all this time, I'd love to see a play take it.

I hope so. It's supposed to be a great house for plays. Excellent acoustics.

It would seem too small. What about Amelie? I would think Harry potter would want a bigger theatre. I think the shubert would fit better for them because they could have a nice marquee set up.

Definitely not. Amelie makes more sense here.
A friend told me Spongebob is going into a Jujamcyn house, so the Wilson makes sense. (Unless they're hoping Kinky will close in the next year or so, and then they could go to the Hirshfeld?)
Though nothing has been announced for what will be taking the Walter Kerr after Falsettos...yet.

I wonder if the Bandstand, if it comes this season, will consider the soon-to-be-vacant August Wilson
I don't think either the Wilson nor the Kerr are big enough for SpongeBob. The Hirschfeld could do it but truthfully I'd love to see it in the Marquis. Haven't heard the Jujamcyn rumor.
Hirschfeld seats 1,424. August Wilson seats 1,275. Kerr seats 975. If SpongeBob is really going into a Jujamcyn house, the Hirschfeld seems the likeliest bet, considering their probable commercial expectations.
Unless Something Rotten! ends up closing within the next few months.
Does anyone like the interior design of the August Wilson?

The st. James would then be unavailable due to renovations and frozen

"I like it. Spotlight on Broadway gives you some great shots of the house.
I'm holding out for a straight play in August Wilson as well.
Folks have talked about Nederlander taking War Paint - but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for any news. Kerr would be a great choice for that. They can use the beautiful outward proscenium to do clever staging for the two leads.
I think the Wilson is one of the most beautiful and unique venues on Broadway.
I still don't believe that Frozen is taking the St. James. I'll believe it when I see it.

The deal is done for Frozen at St. James. No reason to think otherwise.

Ok. Like I said I'll believe it when I see it.
I'd be perfectly happy if Smokey Joe's Café really happens and lands back here.
This would be a great house for SMOKEY JOE'S, especially if all those involved in the developmental reading do the show.
