re: What do the Tier _ tour productions mean?

Feb 13, 2009 — 12:29:25 AM

thats because the chicago theatre is not a subscription house and deals with single ticket sales only. their pr dept is terrible...they seldom get musicals...often cancel shows...its not a shock.

Amber is a Delta Nu. You probably just missed her. They didnt switch out the Bruisers, they switched the Rufus. If you actually pay attention, one Bruiser does the barking scene with Alex, and another does the rest of the show. I dont really know why...

An actor substituting for another has to be announced, per AEA rules, two of three ways... 1. Board in the Lobby 2. Slip in the program 3. Pre-Show announcement As long as at least TWO of these happens for each actor playing a role not printed in the program, then it is all legal.

I DOUBT they will cancel the Saturday matinee. From the looks of it, Dalton based his blog off a string of text messages he got in the morning. There are ways to cut and paste any show together for an audience. The producers are not going to cancel what is probably their highest grossing performance of the week because they don't have a stenographer or someone to play Elle's mom.

They cut Krysta's track when she is out of the show or on for another role. That would explain why there was no insert or announcement.

re: 'Legally Blonde' national tour, full casting announcement?

"I think that the producers were iffy about Ven, which is why he is doing this short run as filler between the actual Kyles. Dependingon how the audience responds to him in NYC will tell if he is going out on tour." Did you make this up or is it based on fact? The cast should be announced soon, they probably start rehearsals soon.

I heard Josh Walden is Carlos, Eric Hatch is not in the show, Sarah Marie Jenkins is in the ensemble, and Alex Ellis is Kate/Chutney.
