What the **** is up with the latest blog post? It sounds like Nick Dalton was on the pipe when he wrote it. I'm supposed to see it tomorrow, who knows who I'll see with Megan and Natalie and possibly Becky? So confused, can anyone clear this up for me?

The post in a nut, Natalie and Megan have funerals to attend and have been out all week, Rhiannon is out, and Becky was rumored to have fallen down the stairs and broken her toe. Lauren has also started 'put in' rehearsals, and is also the next Elle on tour.
Nicks Dalton stated that everyone has been swung in, even guys going on for Delta Nus, and apparently they don't have enough people to fill the parts. Due to this, he thinks the Saturday matinee may be cancelled. (Hopefully not.)

Now it does (at first the link didn't work).
It sounds like Nick Dalton was on the pipe when he wrote it.
lol- I always think this blog sounds like whoever's writing it is on the pipe.
It sounds like Becky's out for two weeks, based on the rumours that the cast has heard so far, but there's no definite/official timeframe yet. That's what I got out of it.
I'm actually more intrigued by the part where apparently everyone will be swung on, and they *still* don't have enough people to cover, and so Saturday's matinee might be cancelled? wow.
Hopefully that's not true! I'm supposed to go.
*shrug* how else does one read this-
Also, there is no way the Saturday mat can happen----so that may be cancelled.
But it's also the second to last show of the DC run. Are they going to refund every ticket, since an exchange would seem impossible to get final DC performance tix. I think it seems more possible that people will be playing more than one track. Tiffany Engen did that at least once when she was in the Broadway company.

That's terrible news, but I am excited to hear what people of Lauren as Elle.
I'm quite confused as to why Lauren will be going on as Elle tonight, but why this show wasn't threatened of a cancellation?
The latest rumor is that Lauren Zakrin will be going on as Elle to close out the run in DC, for the entire week in East Lansing, and then the first half of the run in St. Louis.
They are hoping Becky Gulsvig can return for the second week of performances in St. Louis, do the entire run in Austin, and then depart for her two week vacation during the stop in Houston (where Zarkin and Rhiannon Hansen are expected to split the two week engagement as Elle.)
Since everything has happened so recently, nothing is concrete as of yet.

Whenever I read the LB Tour blog, I get the feeling that it is complete chaos. Bone fractures, illness, funerals, weddings, men going on as Delta Nus, insufficient costumes, etc. They are always struggling with something. Is this unique to the LB tour?
Okay, I am seriously tempted to go to DC this weekend just to see Lauren on as Elle.
If it wasn't eight hours from Boston. Boo.
Damn, the tour sounds like a hot mess!

I DOUBT they will cancel the Saturday matinee. From the looks of it, Dalton based his blog off a string of text messages he got in the morning. There are ways to cut and paste any show together for an audience. The producers are not going to cancel what is probably their highest grossing performance of the week because they don't have a stenographer or someone to play Elle's mom.
Sara Andreas will be covering both I'd assume?
I'm curious as to how the tour did in DC. When I saw it 3 weeks ago on a Friday night, the theatre was less than half full.
Do the guys play them in drag?
if anyone happens to see her perform as Elle, PLEASE report back.

On Broadway when Cara Massey went on as Vivienne, Tiffany Engen was the stenographer and the mom. In Legally Blonde Remix mom never showed up since Tiff was the stenographer at the time.
There was also a few females that played Lowell also when they ran out of guys.

They will find a way to do it. They can do without Delta Nu's in scenes like Omigod You Guys and Positive, just get a bunch of guys in drag in time for So Much Better. Heck if it's an understudy going on for Paulette, get her back on as ensemble for So Much Better, there's plenty of time to change her. The broadway company found a way the tour will definitely do the same.
Seeing it tomorrow. Will report back with reviews of all the understudies.

Broadwayboy, the tour has two fewer ensemble members so it's not as simple as when the Broadway cast covered missing people.
Wow, the tour was in great shape a month ago here in Philly! God knows what happened...!
But this will definately let all those little Lauren-praiser/lovers come out. Not that I didn't like her, but people speak of her on here and elsewhere as if she is a goddess! However, Best to her in her starring debut :).
I have a few statements/questions:
1.Why new costumes as Nick Dalton mentioned?
2.Why does this tour seem so unprepared
3.I think the "Lauren is the next Elle Woods" was making a joke about the show.
4.How long are betting it'll take for this show to go non equity?

The tour is actually selling extremely well.
1.well it's a Teir B tour, so basically they don't have all the funds for all the swings and understudies to have proper costumes. But since a lot of people are calling out, the people who didn't have costumes but have to go on, they are going to get fitted.
2. they cut two ensemble tracks, and don't have tons of money to splurge, and since this came so sudden, they aren't prepared.
4. The show is selling really well! I really hope it doesn't.
oh, and from what I heard, Lauren is Elle for SIX weeks.
