Mornin'
It's going to be a rough day -- we're picking our classes for the fall semester today and for the first time there can be no proxies. Which means everyone in the department must be there. (If they want a class.) A room filled with over 70 contentious, dysfunctional egomaniacs bitching, moaning and fighting.
There will be a mid-afternoon Stilton today. Maybe two.
Morning!
YWIW - I hope mom feels better!
I've got nothing other to report....
Morning peeps! That's all I got.

Geez, Deet, sounds like an adult version of the Hunger Games. Be sure to be loud and forceful. Violence is also an option, but only as a last resort.
YWIW - hope Mom is doing better and that you caught up on your sleep.
YWIW - sending your mom good thoughts.
Fighting a cold, thankfully work is not horridly busy.
Slightly terrified at the thought of being handy in the next few days and building the periaktoi panels for the show. Wish me good luck ... actually, wish the actresses good luck.
Good luck, DD!
YWIW, sending good vibes to mom.
I just reconnected with an old friend on FB. He is now living in Miami, a block from the beach. Of course he said I have an open invitation. It's nice having friends all over the map.
Thanks for all the good thoughts.
Hopefully, she will be out on Thursday - once she gets admitted and they start treating her, then it is all downhill.
But, if my sisters send me one more email saying how happy they are that I am here to deal with it all, I may not be responsible for my actions.
And DD, I think you could do just about anything you put your mind to.
D2 - I think you should webcam the whole thing. Then sell it or use it for leverage later on!
BTW am I the only one who LOVED the Bollywood number last night in SMASH? Karen's boyfriend was perfection in that number.

OK, I've been absent all day, handling one crisis after another. But I HAD to pop in and say that I LOVED the Bollywood number so much that I'm not even going to complain that it made little sense. I hope they release a copy of the number on YouTube soon.

Nevermind - just noticed that the full number is now on Broadwayworld TV. Teenage fires can wait!
That was the most bizarre thing last night. Surprisingly, J2 loved it! I was lukewarm about it, although Angelica Huston looking like Madhur Jaffrey amused me no end.
So, it was, as expected, a brutal two hours. I got one class that I wanted and got blocked out of the other one, so once again I'll only be teaching 6 hours next semester. Oh, well -- more time to play with the dog. And write.
But the fights that broke out between some of the teachers vying for classes and purposely blocking each other out was truly mind-boggling. The Chair of the Department (who by Union rules cannot interfere) was such a wreck the two of us went to Artisanal after for Stilton Martinis, Onion Soup and Croque Monsieurs. I just poured her into a train home.
Morning peeps! I can't delete Monday's episode of SMASH. I went home last night and the first thing I did was watch the Bollywood number...AGAIN. It makes me smile.
Mornin'
Morning, Deet! All ready for the little bundle of fur? Your life will be changed...for the better. I truly don't know what I would do without my pets. They truly keep me entertained. YES there are times I want to kill them, but the funs times out weigh those.
Morning my peoples! I've been having a hard time accessing BWW from w*rk. I think they're on to me.

Morning!
I have SMASH recorded but haven't gotten to watch it yet.
I have done something to my lower neck/upper back area and i don't know what. It feels fine most of the time, so I forget, and then when I move my head in a certain direction it stuns me and I react like I just got tasered. Amusing for others, sure, but annoying for me.
Almost, Boobs. We put the gates up last night, and I'm stopping by the vet today to make an appointment for next week. And that's about all that's left to do except perhaps purchase stock in "Nature's Remedy" and "Swiffer" products.
And I don't know what I'd do without Boob's babies, either. They are too funny.
I can't wait to meet this new baby. Deet might find me camped out on a bench across the street waiting to pounce...

Girly will have another animal to name.
ETA on Saturday: 4:00. Just sayin'. And I'm giving my doorman your pic, Girly. That way if it's raining you can wait in the lobby.
Tink, that sounds awful. You might want to get it checked out.
I'm actually going to be in NYC this Saturday.... hmmmmmm....
Morning Adults!
Mom is on the mend, and I am seeing Billy Elliott tonight - so things are getting back in order.
Happy Hump Day!
Fly-by hi.
YWIW - good thoughts to your mom - and you! (I totally hear you on the 'I'm so glad you're there to handle things' stuff...) Hope she's feeling better and stronger every day.
Deet, that is one adorable pup!
I LOVED the Bollywood number. I refuse to delete that episode from my Tivo. I need to watch it again.
Was able to attend the 'Sound of Music' performance at Carnegie Hall last night. LOVED it.
I have a work commitment tonight. I had better be home by 10!
I'm taking a deep breath and diving into the super-insanity of this time of year at work. Will try to stop by when I can!
As you know, I stopped watching Smush months ago, but I just watched the Bollywood number and I loved it! But then, I watch the Bollywood clips on The Asian Television Network all the time and the teams on the Amazing Race had to complete a Bollywood production number just this past Sunday.
