I'm about two weeks overdue for the eye doctor, and my contacts are letting me know it loud and clear. Well...maybe not *that* clear. I get a year's supply, and usually change them the 1st of every month. I reached in the cabinet Sept. 1 and found two empty boxes. Oops! Been meaning to call for the last 12 days, and finally called today. Now, I'm waiting for them to call me back. GRRR. I'm hoping the fact that my cousin's two sisters-in-law, who work in the office and don't like her (and vice versa), don't hold it against me that I'm related, and can get in fairly quickly. They seemed to like me over the years, so keeping my fingers crossed.

G'morning.

Long night with Max. His "digestive issues" are at play again -- and no lesbians this time.

I can't tell if it's because I had to leave him alone yesterday ( these problems always arise after one or both of us are gone for a while ), if he did indeed eat something on the street ( that damn cone makes it impossible to completely monitor him -- he puts his head down and it's like a fvckin' vacuum seal ) or if it's those damned Quenelles.

Anyway, back to the vet this morning. I'm helping her upgrade to granite countertops in the new beach house...

Max is off his Lesbian diet?

Feast of the Holy Cross today so I won't be playimg here much. Big assembly this morning, I'm addressing the members of the local congregations later this morning, all school pizza picnic lunch at 12:30pm, followed by field games in the afternoon. It's a really fun day, but it leaves me exhausted.

Deet - it's amazing how sensitive dog's stomachs are. We went through all that with Walter. After seeing the way animals react to our food, one has to wonder what we're doing to ourselves.

Tink - kidney stones again? Damn. I had one once ten years ago and that was enough. Drink more cranberry! (without vodka)

Yup... again. Luckily, it seems to be like last time and I'm just full of uncomfort and a lil bit of pain but nothing that the horror story could be. I'm thinking a specialist might be in the future.

It is very well possible getting healthy is what causes them in me. High protein diet, large intake of dark green veggies, tea drinker, etc. All highest on the list of causes. So I just keep staring in the mirror and remind myself the pain is worth it for the results, lol.

I did pick up cranberry supplement capsules, since well diet cranberry juice tastes like crap.

And, it's taking ALL of my willpower and strength NOT to read that DOWNTON ABBEY Season 3 thread. I am trying to avoid ALL tidbits of information because I want to watch it when it airs here on PBS, and not have any spoilers. I want the magic to just unfold... (I'll have to be careful with my Facebook feed, too!) But, oh, so tempted.
