Either a transfer of the Broadway show, or the Nunn revival that was talked about?

Bernadette Peters was in talks to star in the Nunn London production, but that obviously fell through
I think a London revival would be very interesting and we have a lot of British women who could take on those two iconic leading roles, e.g. Rosemary Ashe, Caroline O'Connor (I know she's Australian but she's done a lot of work here), Imelda Staunton, Louise Plowright (who would make a superb Phyllis), Elaine Paige (as Sally maybe?), etc.
I think Tracie Bennett would be a brilliant Carlotta...

Elaine Paige definitely can't sing Sally, Rosie Ashe may be more suited. Or Rebecca Caine.
Besides, let Elaine Paige be Still Here!
Am beginning to wonder if the Trevor Nunn Follies revival will ever happen?
It's well known that it was called off. The Goldman estate offered The Lion in Winter instead and he's now doing Kiss Me Kate.
"The Goldman estate offered The Lion in Winter instead"
And he directed that as though he was severely pissed off that he didn't get Follies.
I think it would be neat if the cast headed to London after LA, but obviously the money would need to be in place for something like that and an equity exchange set up. I would hope that Elaine Paige would get her name above the title in London! I've wondered why she was billed later in all the Broadway press materials.

He did Lion in Winter to get Follies that is correct. Casting broke down and so did money. The show is expe save and with the Broadway show on investors pulled out as one of the main markets for this show would be American tourists.
The production for Nunns planned revival still "have it on the table" but it could not be for a few more years.
The new Broadway show expressed desires for a West End run, but I doubt it will happen now...
