It opens mar 27th. The discount is thru till Apr 20th already!
A young actress with Noel coward after a dreadful opening night performance said to him 'Well, i knew my lines backwards this morning!''
Noels fast reply was ''Yes dear, and thats exactly how you said them tonight'!'
Did anyone really think they wouldn't offer discounts? It's not like we thought this would be a sell out hit. Peters played 8 performances a week and only missed a handful of performances during previews when she got sick, LuPone (whose voice has more stamina than Peters') doesn't need a matinee stand-by. I think Rose may be one of the few roles than do need a matinee stand-by though (along with Effie White).
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
I don't think it does. It is written for someone with a normal vocal range. You certainly have to have the voice, but it isn't freakishly difficult like Evita. If you pace yourself, you'll do fine as Rose.

"In the U.S.A.
You can have your say,
You can set you goals
And seize the day,
You've been given the freedom
To work your way
To the head of the line-
To the head of the line!"

My friend was at the Drama League Gala last night at the Rainbow Room hosted by David Hyde Pierce and Patti was an unannounced performer. Whe she was introduced he said you saw her silhouette behind a screen and she came out and did "Some People" and blew the roof off the place.
Can someone tell me how to sign up to receive the mailer???
I'm from out of town and it will cost big money to make a trip to the city, so I want it to come in the mail and sit on the table staring at my parents for weeks until they finally give in and buy tickets!
I dont know why I receive all these mailings like the Gypsy one. Maybe if you order stuff off telecharge they automatically mail it to you or something.
