Mmm. It's like that special day when starbucks re-decorates for christmas. I love it.
Two logos i've been working on as an alternative to the current revival's logo in the art I posted earlier.
If you've noticed the lazy choice I made to use the same base font for both of them, good eye!
Proper Villain, I'm a huge, huge fan of your deviantart page. I have it bookmarked and check it often.
I do this sort of design for high schools and community theatres. I think there's a link in my signature, but if not, it's:

I work cheap and think some of my stuff is ok, but man, I've got nothing on you. I often design based on what a particular venue wants, while you have a real style that's all your own. I love your use of layers and overlays and atmosphere in your posters.
Thanks Ourtime! And believe it or not, I actually have your page bookmarked. Good work!
jacobsnchz14: I made the 9 to 5 poster for the 9 to 5 musical facebook fan page. Is that were you saw it? :)
Yes, I did! Just re-checked it! No wonder it seemed so familiar! lol.
In addition to posters, I've been working on these "Broadway Bobbleheads"
My custom iTunes artwork for the motion picture score of DARLING LILI.
I just made this cover for A Minister's Wife for my itunes using McMullan's artwork since I hate the actual CD cover so much.
A couple new sketches I've been working on (in my limited) freetime...
The heart! I love the heart. I didn't see it at first.
The moon is a little weird for Titanic because there's a whole song about how there's no moon and no wind.

They look gorgeous, Villain! I love your 3d style you use every now and then, with the subtle shadowing.
How did you make the torn poster effect around the edges of the Titanic artwork?
Thanks guys!
CATS - yea... the devil's in the details (to both comments! About Titanic... I don't really care for the show, but I stumbled some stock that was pretty awesome, so... feeling creative. etc.).
aasjb - I used stock.
Proper Villain, I have to say that your artwork is exquisite. That 'Follies' poster is one of the most beautiful (and perfect) manifestations for that show I've ever seen, or could imagine. I love, love, love your design aesthetic. There are so many that I prefer to the original artwork!
Sean2, thank you for the compliments, I really appreciate them! Now, if anyone has any contacts at SpotCo, Serino Coyne, Dewynters in London etc. and wants to pass on my portfolio addy... I'd owe ya dinner!
*BUMP*
One of my favorite threads, I think it's ok to revive it.
I made this one this morning
Love the original posters! Anyone do their own take on current shows?
I love the neon work on The Life, jamiekennywicked!

Wow! Proper Villain, those are amazing! The bullet/heart is genius. And the Titanic is absolutely fantastic.
Thanks, MusicMan! (Although - and it might have been in this thread - it's been pointed out to me that the Titanic sunk on a moonless night. Details!) I should finish that AGYG poster one of these days...
