still no songlist in the playbill. I am not familiar with the show and I would like to know who sings what when.

I like not having a song list...it forces you to be in the moment and watch the show as a story. Not counting down the songs.
the problem with a song list i think MissAnne is that some of the song titles could spoil certain aspects of the show. It's probably for the best that there isn't a song list.
ETA. looking back at my program for Feeling Electric at NYMF, the song list could easily give away where the show goes.

One thing i keep forgetting to mention, that's not related to the quality of the show at all, is how much Alice Ripley looks like Catherine O'Hara (Best in Show, Home Alone, For Your Consideration) I noticed it the first time i saw the show and during tuesday's intermission the woman behind me said the same thing.
I agree with jake. I liked not having a song list for the same reasons he mentioned. Too often even if I'm really into a show, knowing how many songs there are does affect me for the worse. Especially in anreally intense second act, if I know there are only a couple of songs left I find myself focusing on that fact rather than the entirity of the show.
(Incidentally, I'm going back Sunday night. :) Loved it that much!)
bump..looking for the list of songs?
found it.. thanks leagirl
for those inquiring minds...

Jay ~ There are some pretty significant lyric changes in some of the songs. Just so you know.
I believe the song that everyone thinks is called "Next to Normal" is actually called "Everything."
thanks guys... I am just trying to familiarize myself with the music.. I like Feeling Electric & Let There Be Light.
Blue skies is gone, huh?
J*
Yeah. Gone.
Oh, and Open Your Eyes got cut.
I think I always get that mixed up with "Catch Me I'm Falling" ~ "Catch Me" is the hypnosis song and "Open Your Eyes" was the scary rock star song?
Feeling Strong Fine is that Catch Me I'm Falling?
J*
Yes. "Open Your Eyes" was the one that came right after the whole "let's get it on now baby" bit that stayed. It went:
"Open your eyes
Open your eyes
It's a world that's full of wonder
And the wonder never dies..."
(Or something.)
The "catch me, I'm falling" part happens during the hypnosis sequence that's doubled with Natalie's piano recital.
Pretty much, yeah... Again, lyric changes. And definite dialogue changes.
Thanks Emcee. I've got it now. I think I get confused because of the stuff that happens with the set on the second level. I've got it now.
I didn't see it last night, but I saw it Saturday when it was frozen. There was press there.
I saw the show last night. It was my first experience with Next to Normal, so I don't have a reference point or prior knowledge of song changes that have been made, but I truly loved the show. Very solid, great acting...I can't get the songs out of my head. I can't wait to go back again!

*Edited to add: Sorry, saw a thread devoted to the changes below!*
I saw N2N a little over a week ago, and then just yesterday. At the matinee yesterday I realized that they had cut the Costco song! How random to be making changes like that a week before they close! I guess maybe they are still tweaking things with the idea that they will move on to a larger commercial run somewhere?
Anyone have any ideas? I kinda missed the song! This time her breakdown occurred in the dining room on the floor. She was making sandwiches on the ground, and stacked bread on top of bread on top of bread, using a little dressing squirt bottle on it all. Definitely a bit different than what I saw a week ago....
