The ALNM website and ads keep listing her as a Grammy winner. But I cannot find anywhere what she actually won for. She has several nominations, and some of her cast albums have won Grammys, but It doesn't look like she has any as a solo artist. Cast album Grammys do not go to the performers.
According to Wikipedia
I'll Be Your Baby Tonight (1996) Angel Records – Grammy Award nominee
Sondheim, Etc. - Bernadette Peters Live At Carnegie Hall (1997) Angel Records – Grammy Award nominee
Bernadette Peters Loves Rodgers and Hammerstein (2002) Angel Records – Grammy Award nominee
Does she actually have a Grammy award or is ALNM being misleading?

Her name doesn't come up when entered in the Grammy Awards winner database.
I think they're fudging and counting the cast recordings she's been on that have won.
I think they're fudging and counting the cast recordings she's been on that have won.
Thats what I think too.
Which is silly. She has 2 Tony Awards and multiple nominations. It's not like she's some unknown kid who needs punching up on her bio.
"I have no idea who this Bernadette Peters is or what this Night Music is all about, but she's got a Grammy! I'm in!"
Grammy winners? On MY Broadway? The nerve!
Exactly, I totally agree. They would have been fine just calling her a Tony, Drama Desk, and Golden Globe Award winner.
It must be including the cast albums she's been on. Because on her website it just says that she's been nominated for her solo recordings, but has been part of cast recording that have won. Weird.

So the consensus is that this is a deliberate dissemination of misinformation and not just an error?
Well I just don't see how it could be an error. It's been on their press releases and website for weeks now.
Wait, she hasn't won a Grammy? Then I am not going to see her in Night Music.

Well, if it was an error that no one caught. I dunno. Maybe BWW wrote thge press release?
It looks like her bio is the stem of this false information. So it might be coming from her people!
Bernadette Peters (Desirée Armfeldt) is the recipient of two Tony Awards®, a Golden Globe, two Grammy Awards and three Emmy nominations.
Four of her cast albums have won the Grammy. So what are they counting as the two?
Who actually receives statues for the Best Musical Show Album? I know for the classical and opera categories some of the performers do, which is how Patti LuPone and Audra McDonald received Grammys for The Rise and Fall of the City of Mahagonny.
This is from Wikipedia.
The Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album has been awarded since 1959. The award is given only to the album producer, and to the composer and lyricist who has written at least 51% of the music which has not been recorded previously.
And didn't Patti and Audra win for the DVD of Mahagonny? That was so bizarre.

Yeah, I saw that after I asked the question. :-P
Yes, there was only a DVD release of Mahagonny, and that's what won. And it was bizarre.
I was watching the Mahagonny DVD the other day, and the Grammy win popped into my head...it still baffles me...
