These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

Maybe she saw the Wizard of Oz as a child and was scared?
I honestly cant think of anyone I know who doesn't like it, whether they watched it as a kid or as an adult the first time!

She has a deep hatred for musicals of any kind. She once said that ANNIE would have been good if it weren't for all the songs (I think she meant the '82 movie though, in which case the songs were the least of the problems).
Btw: I took that quiz and I was the Wicked Witch.

Your friend sounds like my dad, Mr. Nowack. He bought tickets (sometimes even taking me) to musical theater in the 1960s because that's when theater was considered "high culture". But then he would fidget through all the musical numbers.
I think he's tone deaf.
