Yep! Rushed for yesterdays evening performance. I got to the theater right at 5, and there were about 20 people in front of me. I got 1 ticket for $35, it was B11. While "partial view," my seat allowed for a mainly full view, but I'm sure anyone behind me on the sides in the other rush seats had a worse view.
I would recommend trying to sit house right, as so much of the action takes place there. It was irritating sitting house left, because they were kind of avoiding that side of the stage like the plague.
I enjoyed the show, but it is by far my least favorite musical of the season behind Fun Home, Rotten, Honeymoon, Finding Neverland, and Side Show. I thought the direction was horrific, but luckily the cast was in fine shape. Except the ensemble who were so distracting! They were acting like caricatures.
Didn't want to start a new thread so thought I would add lottery information here. I was able to win lottery tickets to the show on Saturday. My seats were located in the orchestra row K center section aisle seat. Very happy where the seats were located. Good luck to anyone who tries for the lottery tickets in the future.
yea, rush wasn't too hard for me - but you can also get tickets for $35 on TodayTix - if you use a referral code you get an extra $20 off your order. Use TALZF and it's just as cheap or cheaper than rush and no partial view.
I won lottery for Sat evening Apr 11. Seat was a good orchestra seat, but not as good as Monty's. Seems like there aren't specific seats designated as the lottery seats, as I think I was Orchestra P, about 5 seats in from the right wall (not partial view).
With only 3 winners per show, I wonder what the overall success rate is? I felt pretty lucky to win!
