Very sad news. At the age of 10 he was the youngest Tony Award winner ever. RIP. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/ctpost/obituary.aspx?n=Francis-M-Chernesky&pid=179489469

That is so sad. I remember him in t Mane and the way he said "i don't want to go to St Boneyface. He was wonderful. And the way he sang My Best Girl. Added to that , some of my childhood heroes have died: Patti Duke. Shari Lewis, Annette Funicello.. Now Frankie MIchaels. I'm started to feel old.

That is one co-star I'm sure Angela Lansbury is surprised to have outlived. Rest in peace, Frankie.

He still holds the record as the youngest person, male or female, to win a Tony Award, correct?
"He still holds the record as the youngest person, male or female, to win a Tony Award, correct?" Yes. That may end up being the one record Audra didn't break.

So sad. Too young. None of the reports mention the cause of death. He was just 60. Wonder what happened.

He must have known he didn't have very long to live. He put up all his memorabilia from his time in "Mame" up for auction in November of last year. The lot did not have any bidders, though.
