Ok but I see how you’re trying to make a joke but when you say leave the guy alone, that’s just rude. If you have something snarky to say just don’t say it. They just had a simple question... there is no need to be mean over it.
He did the stage door when I saw the show in May, and I've heard the he's there pretty consistently. He and the rest of the cast were absolutely lovely to everyone there.
I worked with Derek when he was a child actor. So glad to see him on Broadway. He was a very nice, charismatic boy then but at that time was very torn between acting and baseball. I think he made a good choice.
