I haven’t seen the show yet and I’m sure it works well in context but the lyric changes to uninvited really threw me off

 

Also the ad Libs from the ensemble during You Oughta Know are ****ing fire. That “it’s not faaaair”gave me goosebumps

They have. I went to first preview and I couldn't understand a lot of what they were saying. I went last Sunday and understood almost every word. 

Tom Kitt has really done some wonderful work arranging Alanis Morissette's music here. Cheers to the performers, musicians, producers and sound engineers that worked on this album because it sounds PHENOMENAL.

Forgive my ignorance of Morissette's catalogue, but are any of the songs newly written for the show or are they all pulled from her previous work?

Yes, I just hope it happens. She has teased new albums for the past four years or so. And she’s been through a hell of a lot personally so I get it - I’m just hoping it actually happens. She said a while ago she had multiple journals of songs and enough for a couple new albums that are reminiscent of JLP which very much excites me, although given her current domestic life (since her music is so personal)I’m curious what that will sounds like."

It is also mentioned in the New York Times interview with her that the new album is due in the spring. Good article if you haven't read it. Went up today or yesterday.
