I haven’t seen the show yet and I’m sure it works well in context but the lyric changes to uninvited really threw me off
Also the ad Libs from the ensemble during You Oughta Know are ****ing fire. That “it’s not faaaair”gave me goosebumps

This is mostly a new score for me but I guess it was impossible to live through the 90s and not hear "Head Over Feet" and "Ironic" at some point. Those songs definitely sounded familiar.

Posted: 11/29/19 at 5:36pmI bought it and listened to it. The album is good. It’s much better than the actual show but when I was down, I just put on Alanis and listened to her for a couple hours. I can’t say I’ll ever have a desire to go back to the CR just to listen to it, but I will always support Morissette and hopefully people will support the show and this recording and she will finally put out a new album. It’s almost 8 years and I NEED new music.

Posted: 11/29/19 at 8:31pmI have listened to most of it. Will fimish listening this evening. So far I am enjoying it. When I saw it I was not crazy about the sound and I don't remember hearing a harmonica throughout. In my comments on it that was a complaint I had. There is ome although I don't think everywhere it is heard on the original. The recording is crisp and clear. The harmonies sound wonderful. I really hope they fixed the muddled sound in the theater.

They have. I went to first preview and I couldn't understand a lot of what they were saying. I went last Sunday and understood almost every word.

Good to hear. I saw it two weeks ago and I was wondering if it had something to do with the type of mics they were using.
I am pretty much finished listening to it. This will be in my ears for a while. It is very well done.
In some areas I can see the chorus singing some of those haunting harmonies offstage making what is happening onstage a bit more dramatic. Just me.

Tom Kitt has really done some wonderful work arranging Alanis Morissette's music here. Cheers to the performers, musicians, producers and sound engineers that worked on this album because it sounds PHENOMENAL.

Yes, I just hope it happens. She has teased new albums for the past four years or so. And she’s been through a hell of a lot personally so I get it - I’m just hoping it actually happens. She said a while ago she had multiple journals of songs and enough for a couple new albums that are reminiscent of JLP which very much excites me, although given her current domestic life (since her music is so personal) I’m curious what that will sounds like.

It is also mentioned in the New York Times interview with her that the new album is due in the spring. Good article if you haven't read it. Went up today or yesterday.
