There’s a little snippet of the tour set in the video and it looks promising. Have also been enjoying finding photos of the set through the Landmark theatres Instagram location tag.

Seeing the tour tonight on its last night in Syracuse. Very excited, loved this revival on Broadway.

This is just as good as it was on Broadway. Acting is great and I’m impressed the set, including the revolving house is mainly intact.

If you don’t mind me asking, how did they handle the orchestra during the Embassy Ball and Eliza’s....ending? Curious given the limitations of a proscenium stage vs the Beaumont

I’m not sure what you mean by the orchestra during the Embassy Ball. I only saw it once on Broadway and nothing stood out to me tonight. 
 

Eliza’s ending is now just played in Henry’s house instead of her coming out into the audience. I do wish they kept that aspect of it, I thought it was a bit more powerful.

Hmmm. I’m curious. How does the end play out on the tour? Does she stay in the house? Or move someplace? Obviously with the logistics of touring houses they can’t rely on it being easy for her to march up an aisle but I’m wondering how they decided to do this. Also...I guess maybe add a spoiler tag....thanks

It's interesting to see the huge Vivian Beaumont sets being smaller for the more compact theaters on tour. In fact I saw Hamilton on tour in Virginia just a week or so ago (loved it) and the set there didn't look all that different from the Broadway version that I could tell.

Interesting. I’m not convinced it packs the punch that the broadway version but I’m sure it resonates. I was lucky enough to see Shereen Ahmed as Eliza at LCT and I think she is perfection in the role and an actress to keep your eye on. She is an incredible actress with a glorious soprano voice. If the tour is coming near you be sure not to miss it.

Not to digress, but you have me thinking about the ending of the 2008 tour.
Eliza enters, the way she traditionally does; and after the final line of dialogue, they walk tenderly towards one another.
Then, at the last moment, they both throw their heads back and start laughing hysterically.
And the curtain fell.
And I just loved it.

When I saw the show on Broadway, Laura Benanti exited stage right instead of leaving through the audience. Had no clue Eliza used to leave through the audience until now!

That’s odd, when I saw Laura in the show she still left through the audience...

I saw the tour last night at The Kennedy Center, and I was a bit underwhelmed.

I'm curious, did Bartlett Sher direct the tour, or did one of his associates?  I ask, because I saw a couple of minor changes that stuck out especially during the Ascot scene.  I felt that there were more "bits" in the LCT production during this scene.

I thought Shereen was wonderful as Eliza.  I got to see her at the LCT production as well.  I also liked Laird Mackintosh as Henry Higgins.  Oh how I missed Christian Dante White's presence and voice as Freddy. Sam Simahk had a beautiful voice, but he just kind of blended in.  Linda Mugleston made more of an impression as Mrs. Pearce in comparison to Gayton Scott's portrayal.

The set seemed very compact.  I knew the house was going to be on a turntable as I know someone who worked on the set.  The Embassy Ball though was a bit disappointing.  Definitely not as opulent, especially with the much smaller staircase.

The ensemble was wonderful, although With a Little Bit of Luck seemed kind of flat sound wise.  Get Me to the Church was definitely a lot more joyous.

The orchestra sounded great.  They were not onstage during the Embassy Ball.
