Wow, I totally forgot about this. I stumbled on the recording when it came out and put it in my Library. Just pulled it up and going to listen again.

This seems to be coming to OOTB this summer with Matt Rodin. Anyone going?

This seems to be coming back this Fall. Anyone see it earlier this summer?

A friend of mine saw it and she said she really enjoyed it. I had never heard of it before she posted about it so I’m definitely interested in catching it, now.

While it deals with trauma and goes quite a few dark places, this is one of the best new musicals I’ve seen off Broadway in recent memory because of how unafraid it is. The songs are also bangers.

That's great to hear. There also seems to be an album. https://www.masterworksbroadway.com/music/beau-world-premiere-recording/

I thought the show was good but not great, though I can't necessarily pinpoint anything specifically wrong with it, so it's probably just something that didn't speak to me as much.  I think there are great songs but the semi-presentational format could be hit or miss at different points in the story.  There are a few moments that can be fleshed out a bit, but I thought all the performers were great and they did a good job of weaving in and out of the story between actors and musicians.  It's a show that should definitely stay in a smaller/intimate space so I think St. Lukes could be configured well for it (though I haven't been since they remodeled it (that was a thing that happened right?)

Matt Rodin’s obnoxious shtick drives me insane, but I’ll give the songs a listen.

His TikToks "claiming" to know about theater marketing (when he admits in a video he pivoted to it after not being able to book) are so obnoxious. I actively have to avoid them when they come up, because I don't even follow him!

Heard. I hear he's good in Beau. Maybe leave the marketing piece outta it.

Anyone have any updates or insights into this one? Jeb was one of my favorite parts of Dead Outlaw so super keen to see him do something new. Apparently he’s been working on this for a while?

The schedule looks super interesting, might be able to do a 2 show Friday or 3 show Saturday one weekend when I’m in town. Anyone been to the space before? Seating plan looks…interesting? I only do a couple trips a year and honestly am finding little I want to see next month… Should this go on the list?

I loved Jeb in Dead Outlaw. Really curious what he'll do in this.

I have a friend going. I think it’s almost sold out. Looks like all the preview tickets dropped to $39. Debating if I should check it out.

Anyone have any clue about seating at this theater? Can't tell where to sit based on the seating chart.

A friend who went to final dress said the table seats are great in the center.

All the preview tickets were $39 up until a few hours ago. The table seats for the previews are now listed at $59 (after opening they go up to $125, so still a deal at 59); non-table seats for previews are still $39.

Feels weird that they are having to heavily discount. Hard to get prices back up. People I know liked this in its first run.
