I am planning on rushing Altar Boyz tomorrow. I was curious as to whether I should get to the box office before it opens. In other words, is there usually a line?
No they don't...they changed it earlier in the month. According to the website, rush tickets are sold every day except Friday and Saturday evening.
Dont worry about a line. Just get there at 1 and you should be fine.
oops looked at wrong time on your post...anyway, rush is EVERY SHOW except friday and saturday nights. enjoy the show bwbabe! Updated On: 6/19/05 at 02:10 AM
I saw Altar Boyz today. It was so funny!!! I loved every minute of it and am already planning when I can go back.
lol i'm so glad you loved it bwbabe! that was my initial reaction too. gotta go back soon!! did you go to the night show yesterday? i went to matinee.
Nope, I was at the matinee too. I must've missed you. I was wearing a 3/4 sleeve green shirt and long denim skirt. I was kinda standing in the back of stagedoor crowd cuz I was a bit shy being a first timer among Altarholics...
oops didn't mean to intimidate you! i asked about matinee vs evening because you must have seen Daniel Torres go on for Juan! that's why i went though i was supposed to go tonight and now i couldn't afford it. lol!! glad you had a good time though! next time you go, just shove us out of the way. we don't mind! LOL!
Yeah! I've been reading Daniel's journal since its inception, so I literally jumped up and down when I saw the understudy board up. My friend of course thought I was nuts until I explained... And Daniel was soooo sweet at the "stage door" (what am I supposed to call it when it's just a hallway? lol.)
By the way, it's totally not your fault for the intimidation. I normally don't feel shy at stagedoors, but the Boyz seemed to really know everyone who was waiting there, and I didn't want to intrude. If not for a very slow-to-heal broken foot which kept me away from the Broadway scene from January to June, I would've been an Altarholic months ago too.
Ah, I may be going tonight. I'm excited!
Will any understudies be in tonight that anyone knows about?

i doubt it but i will keep you guys posted if i find out there is! have a great time Steven!

Is the cd for ALTAR BOYS worth getting? I dont know much about this musical, but my friend Jason told me the music was reallllly good! Is it?
if you live near the theater district, i'll be handing out CD samplers probably Saturday. there will be ABz people handing them out so maybe you can swing by the ABz theater (or Q or Magnolias) and get a free feel for the songs. the full blown CD is definately worth it and it is cheapest at Virgin Megastore right now. the theater itself also sells them and it's nice on Mondays when the cast does the signing!
rush seats: A through F usually 8-12 and 9-11 but they have been known to give H center (101-112) and even down to E center *gasp* the best seats in the house. also the back rows center is an option, rows N and O. if you rush with many people, they may break you guys up OR they may give you a nice entire center row. depends on the day and how well the house sells.

Thanks.
I just checked out the official site and I'm already in love with the show, haha.
And finally, I can get the CD! I didn't want to get it before I saw the show.
