A place where nobody dares to go.....
The love that we came to know.....
They call us..."fANADUs"
And now..open your eyes and see...
What we have made is real...
They call us..."fANADUs"
fANADUs as f(ans of X)ANADU- coined by singingbackup

I love fANADUs. That's a cute little title.
I still miss Carpinello. Can't wait to read some Cheyenne reviews though!
Oh, Paris.
"fANADUs, fANADUs, now we are here, for XANADU!"
OH, SAM.
fANADUs!!!
Very creative title for fans of XANADU, haha
I can't call myself a fANADU yet, though, because I have yet to see the show
But I support the show...thats why I have tickets, haha :)

I'm a fondue.
i've only been there twice....
how many times do you need to go to be a fanadu?
I've seen it once from the onstage seating. Loved it!
I'm going to try to get onstage seats.
I am going to do that too-next time I see the show- I will be sitting onstage -- so I'll get a chance to dance at the finale number... But I promised my wife that I wont see the show again ATLEAST till it opens on 7/10 or when James Carpinello comes back as "Sunnie Malloyne !!!"

Well, I think I found my fANADU.
I'll see what I think on July 2. But I definitely think I'd like to try the onstage seating. (Don't know where I am on the 2nd, but I highly doubt tdf has on-stage seating.) And this would be the better show for me probably. I don't think I could stomach Spring Awakening again.
Seeing the show for my 5th time on Sat, (so, I am obviously obsessed), but that "Fanadu" name scares me !!
Testing1234- Hey!- youve seen the show more than anyone of us here -so youre more of a 'fANADU" than us. -besides---C'mon ... fANADUs is a cute name ! its like this.. hahaha

Cant I be a "Kerry-du" instead ?? :))
I tried to do a search for this, but the search feature is either too picky or too broad and I can't find what I want.
For those who have sat onstage: Would you consider the seats obstructed? If I'm coming to NYC and have one shot at seeing the show, should I go for the onstage seats or not? If you miss a lot of the facial expressions and don't get a particularly good view overall, then I'll skip it. If the show is ultimately more fun from the stage, then I'll give it a try.
I definitely don't care about sitting on stage for Spring Awakening, but Xanadu is the show I want to see most, so I'd like to have a really good time. And haters of the show can save their breath right now. No amount of negativity will stop me from seeing the show, so shut it.
Thoughts?

I would say see it from the orchestra as you will miss quite a bit of the facial expressions, etc. For the most part, they do play to the audience.
Hi Mister Matt-
If you will only see this 1 time .. I would recommend not sitting onstage bec.
you will miss "some" facial reactions which is very very funny.
For onstage seatings:
You will still see the Birth of the Muses at the beggining bec. you will be sitting across it and the mural is on the ground. (according to Mr. Aquaman who sat onstage last Saturday) it has its plus side:
1. youll get to stand up (on your spot )and dance the finale number "XANADU" with neon lights necklace or whatever theyre holding.
2. youll get a good view of Cheyenne's
3. who knows ? Jackie Hoffman might make fun of you onstage.
Those were the advantages... Besides sitting on the audience is not bad bec. the audience is a part of the whole show.. Cheyenne came down several times to the audience and Tony Roberts went up to the mezzanine.
Dont worry about detractors of the show- im sure youll enjoy XANADU ! Its a FUN SHOW !!!
Hope this help

I sat onstage the first time I saw it, and saw a lot of sides and backs. On the plus side, the people on stage don't sound as hollow and overmiked. If you sit stage left, Mary Testa will scream into your ear near the end; center front, Curtis and Andre will sit on either side of you and Jackie Hoffman may talk to you later on; center rear, Jackie and Mary will sit on your right.
Decisions...decisions...
I may just have to see it twice!
Definitely ! Ive seen the show twice already in its previews.

Why the lowercase 'f', though?
I would say see it from the orchestra for full-view - although I sat on-stage my first time and I loved it all the same.
