Brody enjoys doing a sort of "ignoramus humor," where he pretends not to have the information everyone knows full well that he has. You've seen it before. Someone starts a thread about someone and Brody chimes in with "So and so? Who is that? Oh, weren't they on this back in the 1980s?" or some such nonsense. Those are usually accompanied by a picture.
For example -
Say someone posts a thread about Phylicia Rashad. Brody will swoop in and say something like. "Who is Phylicia Rashad? I've never heard of her. Where did she come from? Oh wasn't she on some little sitcom in the 80s with that one comedian."
Then there comes the picture. Brody might say, "Phylicia enjoys ham on Easter. As does her sister, noted choreographer and actress Debbie Allen."

My understanding is that 2 producers are pulling out No more funding Sad because the show is fantastic I met Ebersole at the stage door and when asked what her next project was she replied "rest" Someone asked about London and she didn't really comment one way of another
I'm suprised that this isn't being recored for "Great Performances" - with those two AWESOME performances, but "Company" did get recored? If I had to pick, I would have def. picked Grey Gardens. Like Brantley said, it is possibly the best performance in a musical to date.
A friend of mine was at a reception with someone very close to the show about 2 weeks ago and was told that they want to film it but doesn't think it is going to happen.
Did anyone watch the audio slide show with Mary Louise Wilson talking about the show's closing at New York Times online?

"I have also met him in person, and I find him to be quite funny actually. Arrogant and often misinformed, but still funny."

Well, I had hoped to catch this, BATB, and Gypsy this week, but there was a family emergency and our plans were scrapped. I'm ok with not seeing BATB, because I'm sure it will tour soon; and Gypsy will most likely transfer to Broadway, but I know I will not be able to see Grey Gardens again unless the slim chances of a tour come through, so I am extremely sad and disappointed I will never be able to witness the brilliance of Ms. Christine Ebersole. I had even ordered a Grey Gardens poster from BroadwayNewYork to have signed by the cast. Do you think it would it be too much/obnoxious to send the poster to Ms. Ebersole along with a self addressed [poster sized] envelope to have it signed? I know the answer is probably yes, but I really want to have some sort of connection with such an outstanding role that will go down in history.

Well, Elf, I don't think it would be so obnoxious to send her the poster, but I wonder if it would get back to you.
I suppose it's worth a shot.
I am a firm believer in serendipity- all the random pieces coming together in one wonderful moment, when suddenly you see what their purpose was all along.
I wouldn't send/drop off things to be signed by the cast. it's too late--things are way too hectic in that respect. I doubt the company will be able to get all their things signed as it is.
