Eric Kunze back in Jesus Christ Superstar

To all you Eric fans, he will be doing the title role at the Civic Light Opera of South Bay Cities in Redondo Beach from April 23 - May 10th. He'll also be at North Carolina Theater in "Miss Saigon" in March. For more information, see the Eric Kunze fansite.

Here's the latest version of his "Gethsemane" from "The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber" at the Kennedy Center on this last New Year's Eve. It was sensational!

Just wanted to share: Have any of you heard Camilo Sesto's version of Gethsemane? Camilo is a Spanish singer who was huge in the 70's and 80's. One of his greatest hits was his Spanish language version of Gethsemane. It is pretty intense and there are videos of him performing the song live where he sounds just as good, especially going for the high notes.

Sorry for the threadjack, it's just I his version is pretty epic and I think it's pretty cool that a song from a show like this was on top of radio charts around the Spanish-speaking world. =)

Love both Eric and Camilo's versions. The Spanish cast recording with Camilo and Angela Carrasco is one of my favorites.
