Mary Poppins! The set is amazing.

The Hunchback of Notre Dame, which has never come to Broadway.
Beauty and the Beast...one of the only good Disney productions.
Think my favourite is Beauty and the Beast, I just absolutely love the story anyway and thought the stage show did the film justice.
Followed by Mary Poppins, Little Mermaid, and at the bottom is Lion King. Really didn't like that one.
Wish I could have seen Aida, because I love the Cast Recording.

Mary Poppins all the way. I heart me some Rebecca Luker and Summer Strallen :)
Mary Poppins was also really good. Really loved the staging of Jolly Holiday.
The original London, original Broadway or post Broadway London staging of Jolly Holiday - all statues, all colourful people or a bit of both?

Actually, I think Scarlett Strallen is Mary.
Am loving the love for Scarlett. Having Laura Michelle Kelly, Lisa O'Hare and Scarlett, I totally agree SingItOutLoud - she is the perfect mix of sweet, funny, a bit dark and can dance up a storm!
Fav moment of her performance - when she's giving the kids their medicine just before Spoonful and Michael complains "I don't think I like raspberry ice", her line reading of "I don't think I care" totally cracks me up every time I've seen her do it (and that's 4 times)
Hahaha! Yeah, me too! Hey, how do you change the umm..."Swing" thingy next to my profile...help?

Definitely Mary Poppins. I so wish I could have seen Laura Michelle Kelly!
The broadway version of Holiday with the colors.
Its a count of your posts. Swing is the first 50, then understudy for 50, then stand-by for 200 posts I think. It goes up pretty quickly if you post regularly. However, don't post for the sake of posting, its really annoying!!
Thanks! I get it now! So, you can't change it automatically. It's like, how many things you post! Gracias!
Oh, sorry! Just one more thing...how do you get a picture?...for your profile?
I'm yet to see the Broadway version live. In April (when I come across the pond) it is definitely on my list.
Originally the number was all about the statues coming to life. However when the show transferred to NY they Technicolored, adding all the bench/costume changing tricks. They redid the London version after the NY opening, adding some colour stuff while keeping half the ensemble as statues.
pli1018, Laura was incredible in the role - however Scarlett had an advantage of seeing how others had played it before her. Does anyone know why LMK didn't transfer with the show to NY?

Beauty and the Beast with Mary Poppins as a close second...
both shows use special effects that are quite "magical"...(mary flying and the beasts transformation)
Technically speaking: "Lion King"
Story wise: "Beauty"
Actually Mermaid is my FAVORITE Disney film - so me not listing it as a favorite is a BIG deal

I second this. Of course, Beauty was the first Broadway show I saw, so it always holds a special place in my heart. But I just saw Poppins and it was Disney magic. The Lion King's costumes are spectacular and the opening isn't to be missed, but Poppins has stronger music and acting talent I found.
Less said about the Little Mermaid, the better. Such a waste of such a beautiful original score from the film...

I'm pretty sure there was some sort of a tiff between LMK and Cameron Macintosh, which subsequently ruined her chances of transferring. I *think*, but don't quote me.

NEWSIES (coming soon...)
Just like Aaron Tveit is Tony in WSS and Cubby Bernstein's mama is your bestie, right?
Or perhaps I just have a really cool function. It's called SEARCH ? I think?

I honestly have to say that it is a dead tie between all of them.
I am in the minority that adores Disney to death.
And even if its a weak show, you go into the theater feeling like you are walking on air. To be honest, thats one of my favorite sensations, walking into a theater to see the house and the curtain.
Long story short, Disney is what got me into Broadway.
Favorite show in general: Beauty and the Beast
Favorite staging: Lion King
Favorite score: Little Mermaid
Favorite Disney movie: Hunchback of Notre Dame
