He's incredibly talented. I saw him perform with Yale's A Cappella group, The Duke's Men of Yale and I was completely blown away by him. I have a recording of him singing "What A Good Boy" by The Barenaked Ladies and it's ridiculous.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
As amazing as that was, I wish it had been entirely a capella-- percussion and guitar provided by human vocals, too. My school's Madrigal group does that, and it's amazing how convincing it sometimes sounds.
That said, the version from "Glee" doesn't impress me all that much... but weirdly, the Rock of Ages one was my favorite Tony performance and I watch it over and over again. So I think there's just something wrong with me.
This guy's so adorable and energetic, though! He looks like he's having so much fun doing this.
