Bonjour, Glebb!
My afternoon was amazing...
Share of keep?
I spent time with one of my best friends...
then met up with Boobs and Undi at I AM MY OWN WIFE, which continues to amaze me with its brilliance. I was seated in the 'friends and family' group, with Moises Kaufman, the director on one side and Susan Mays (the stars wife) on the other. Directly behind was the playwright, Doug Wright who I had a chat with during intermission. All fascinating!
Then went to Chelsea for a small party and to watch part of the parade.
And, it was warm and sunny, so a beautiful day to be out and about!
now - back to the topic at hand.
Love both of those movies. I know Rita Hayworth's half-brother...so have always had a special fondness for her.
Dazzling! Your day and Rita.
I'm old fashioned.
I love the moonlight.
I love the old-fashioned things:
The sound of rain
Upon a window pane,
The starry song that April sings.
This year's fancies
Are passing fancies,
But sighing sighs, holding hands--
These my heart understands.
I'm old fashioned,
But I don't mind it.
That's how I want to be,
As long as you agree
To stay old fashioned with me.
You're such a sweetie PalJoey!
Do you love when Rita sings those words?
You've all convinced me..but Glebb had me at Rita Hayworth !!!
Look at Delores's hands in my icon, then look at Ricky's hands in your icon. Looks like they're singing a duet.
She is the pink of perfection in this film. Fresh, lovely and one of the most beautiful good girls I've even seen.
Funny pas de deux PalJoey.
did somebody say pink??
pour vous
stai si moi hoi
merci, Glebb!
omg Glebb i can't believe you didn't know that rita hayworth was dubbed in "you were never lovelier". a lady by the name of nan wynn sang her songs. i don't think rita sang in any of her movies.
awww...
*hug* for Glebb!
Thanks Addy.
Well I can still love Rita and you.
Yes you can!
now, where is that Marquise so I can scold him?
i'm right here!
now the only reason i know that info is because I was doing some research on movie dubbing and her name kept popping up, because she didn't sing in any of her films.
she was beautiful though and i have seen one of her films:
PAL JOEY, starring one of my idols: SINATRA
and most important: SHE'S LATIN!
:)
She was very beautiful! And, her beauty lives on through the Rita Hayworth Foundation to fund Alzheimers research.
Marquise, we'll just wait on the scolding...
