"They were on Wife Swap."

That explains everything!

I just watched the clip of the dad before E! entertainment took the clip down ( I don't know why. You would think it would help others in identifying how Falcon looks like.)

Yes, I saw that episode of Wife Swap (don't judge me!). The parents were wackos.

This is so strange...the family lives in a suburban neighborhood. If the boy HAD fallen out, wouldn't somebody have seen him by now??? This story just makes NO sense.

I so hope he's ok, poor little guy.

I know dan! How does a boy go missing?

They know where the balloon tool off and it's trajectory so obviously they would have spotted him.
I'm guessing that he therefore never got in the balloon at all.

Is it possible they'll find him just wandering around?

He might have fallen out after he was out of the neighborhood.

*sigh* I have to go shower. I hope when I am done they have found him safe and sound.....

Maybe he let the balloon go, was scared he'd get in trouble and is hiding somewhere?? But I can't believe they wouldn't have found him by now....

AHA! CNN is now reporting that authorities don't believe he entered the balloon after all and he is hiding out. I thought so - and hoped so.

Okay. If he was in the balloon and fell out this is a horribly tragic story, but since CNN is now saying that they don't think he was ever in it in the first place...it's a little funny that "The Situation Room" has spent the past couple of hours following a balloon. lol

Hope he's just hiding because he let the balloon go and is afraid his parents will be angry.

This is exactly the kind of silly story that will tie up the news for WEEKS.

I totally remember this family from Wife Swap. I especially remember what a jerk this father was. He was so rude, disrespectful and hateful to the other woman.

If he's hiding out, he's doing a pretty good job of it. I assume they've been looking for him all this time.

Is anyone watching MSNBC? Did the parents just say that he could have only been in the missing box? So they knew the whole time that he wasn't in the balloon?

Good grief. Now CNN is reporting that there may have been some sort of a box attached to the balloon that did not stay attached for long. Could the boy have been in the box? Much speculation at this point.

Yes, the father was a TOTAL a-hole on wife swap. Not only did he treat the visiting "wife" like crap, but he treated his own wife like crap if I'm remembering correctly.
