oh, Stockard..I LOVE that show. It cracks me up! And when people have never seen it I always say, if they had to watch ONE, it would be the crazy storm chasers and the scaredy cats. Seriousy great episode.

The show is a guilty pleasure for me too. I saw one where the family was on a completely raw diet, including meat. Gross. And the kids did not go to school either.

My other favorites are the family who lived in a house with no electricity, the lady who tasted dirt, and the family who lived in a trailer most of the time and spent every waking moment together. That mother even made the kids go around the RV park to take down license plate numbers to do a background check on their neighbors.

Did Balloon Boy just bust his family live on Larry King Live?

Edit:
Ok - I may have misunderstood what the kid said. It's time for me to step away from the tv. I've become a little obsessed with Balloon Boy today. Updated On: 10/15/09 at 09:23 PM

The little boy did bust his parents on live TV. He said i hid because my parents told me to for the show. The look on his parents face was priceless! They struggled to cover up what the boy said through the rest of the interview..lol. What horrible parents!

How sad and pathetic for the "parents" to do that to their son and to the rescue workers and others who were helping out.

They're dumb. I hope they get fined for all the BS they have caused.

Throw the parents in jail and put the kids in protective services.

I totally saw them on Wife Swap. Yes, they seemed crazy, from what I saw.

They're on the Today show right now insisting it wasn't a hoax. Meantime, the kid is throwing up into a tupperware thing right there on camera and they are just talking around him. WTF?

I am so freaking pissed that these idiots pulled this stunt.

They treat real life like an episode of relity TV with no regard for the money it took to conduct the search or the fact that the searchers were unable to respond to legitimate calls for help while engaged in this charade.

I hope they get their due.

Here's the quote:

---------------------------------------------------------
Falcon answered, "You had said that we did this for a show."

Later, Richard Heene bristled when the family was asked to clarify and said he didn't know what his son meant. He didn't ask his son what he meant by "a show."

"I'm kind of appalled after all the feelings that I went through, up and down, that you guys are trying to suggest something else," Richard Heene said.
-----------------------------------------------------------

Well, that's not an answer. It's classic avoidance by trying to shame the questioner.

SF I saw that too on the Today Show...the poor kid is sick and the father is talking about how annoyed he is about people questioning him if it was a hoax. The kid is vomiting and the father is looking disgusted by it instead of helping the poor kid and telling the news people that he has to take care of his son and the interview can wait. It's all about HIM. People like him should not have kids!!! He's a flippin' idiot!!!

I cannot believe these sick, sick, sick people.

First, they take advantage of all who came together to help them and wasted their time. It's appalling, especially when there are real emergencies going on at the same time.

Next, they put their kids up to this crap to the point where the poor boy is puking on camera. Whether he is sick or it is nerves, either way, it is disgusting the parents would pull this stunt.

I believe the kid. If the kid wanted to cover his parents lie, he would've said "I didn't come when you called because I didn't feel like it." Why would a six year old be lying with the reason he gave? How sad for this family. Absolutely sad, and I feel sorry for the kids.

They were insane on Wife Swap. Yes, I know it is only television, and the producers influence their actions, but I don't care. I have no reason to believe the parents.

Ok, I know I shouldn't, but I am laughing at the insanity of this!

You CANNOT make this crap up. And, I think this has future SNL skit written all over it.

Freak family.
Kid named Falcon
Boy in a baloon.
The entire country watching.
The kid spills the beans that it was a hoax.
And then vomits on morning news shows.

I mean, really.
It's priceless.
In a twisted way.

I just watched the Today show video. I wanted to vomit myself after watching it. And not just because the kid got sick.

The father looked pretty shaken up, but I think it was nerves that he knows the family is not getting away with their stunt.
