I'll send you a PM if you want me to.........
It was originally an all girl group, but then one of the girls was replaced with a guy.

Posted: 2/24/09 at 9:20amI believe it's been moved to Wednesday/Thursday this week. Because of Obama's address to Congress?

I'm really scared because according to the other blog, it could be "All by Myself" and I can't think of a more dreadful song. Not that he wouldn't kill any song he sings, but he could do so much better.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#481
Posted: 2/24/09 at 12:30pmI am a fan but I hope that Adam Lambert doesn't oversing too much. I know he has an amazing range but it can be screechy caterwaling at times. Just because he has that huge range it doesn't mean that he should use it all the time in every performance.

I agree. Athough AI has always given the big applause for big money notes, provided the singer hits the note. And he will.
For all the Adam fans, regardless of what song he picks, whether we like the choice or not, please vote to at least give him another change to make it right. I'm still hoping he'll surprise us. He's being singing a long time, I just hope he knows what he's doing.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#483
Posted: 2/24/09 at 2:14pmOh yeah, I'm gonna vote no matter what. But I hope it's not another diva song.

I think it would hilarious if Danny "praise leader" Gokey and Adam "glam diva" Lambert were the final two...or roommates.
Reality Blurred has a posting that Danny led a service and sangat some megachurch last weekend...normally, I don't care about a contestant's religious beliefs, but if he's not only going to be pimped for his widowhood wife but also for his Christianity, I'm going to be so annoyed.
Of course, he could pull a Mandisa and it could all go down, dare we say...in flames.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#485
Posted: 2/24/09 at 5:47pmYeah, I think Danny has a nice voice, but I heard his church was a little cultish.

Yeah, I was actually thinking earlier.. it should be kind of interesting this year. We have Adam who's a definite front runner at this point, as well as Nate, Von, Jorge, and Nick/Norman who are all... well, various degrees of openly gay as well haha
And then we have Danny, Kris, and Michael who all seem to be heavily involved in the Church. And Kris and Michael are from small towns in the deep south (Arkansas and Texas). And Danny is from Wisconsin which, though it's up north, is a pretty darn conservative state, no? Could be wrong on that, but I kind of thought it was. So yeah, not to make the huuuge generalization of assuming that every person who grows up in a religious, southern/conservative environment is narrow minded, but.. you DO have to wonder. I say this HAVING lots of family and stuff in small town Texas myself.. it's not easy to escape that mindset.
So yeah, it should be interesting to see the dynamics between those two groups :P (the kind of COOL thing, though, if any of the second group DO happen to be a bit prejudiced toward gay people, through Idol they're kind of being forced to live around Adam and the others. So if they ARE, it might do them some good to actually associate with gay people! I feel like most prejudice comes from simply not UNDERSTANDING people who are "different")

Good Luck tonight Adam! If you're going to do a diva song, you better bring it! Next week, some Aerosmith please?
I was reading an article on the wild card round and I didn't realize that America would not be voting that night and the judges will pick the final three for the top 12. Anyone else think this may be a good thing for Adam, if he doesn't move through tomorrow night? Takes middle america right out of the picture.

I don't necessarily think he's one of the judges' faves? I think we really need to vote as hard as possible tonight.
I heard he's requested clearance for Queen, Bowie and some other "glam" type bands. I really hope he ends up going that route.

That would be fantastic to see! We just have to get him through this week in order to do it. I'm still hoping he doesn't sing a diva song tonight.
If he does do "All by Myself" I'm really scared of an extreme close up on the lyric "when i was young/making love was just for fun" part. Gay, straight, it doesn't matter, it's a awkward line for anyone to sing. I'm afraid of Costantine mugging..
I'm all for him glamming it up!

Just posted on Joe's blog.
"VFTW mentioned that one of Adam’s choices could be “True Colors” by Cyndi Lauper and then covered by Phil Collins..."
All speculation at this point. I so excited and scared for tonight.
If he doesn't make it, he can always do Rock of Ages, the musical. :)

Get the voting fingers ready! Adam may not be broadway (yet) but we have to show the love for anyone in the business. we wouldn't be on these boards if we didn't all love theater.
And besides, he's damn talented!
re: AMERICAN IDOL#494
Posted: 2/25/09 at 3:09pmWell, this may seem radical, but I'm going to wait and see how well he performs before deciding whether or not to vote for him (or anyone else).

I can't imagine him singing anything badly, just a bad song. :)

At little more on Danny's church, one of those "give us money and God will reward you with your own riches" rackets.
I visited the church's Web site. Did you know that the church also healed Jamal of cancer? Why didn't they push that storyline?
