Sadly, yes. This new system thing is so flawed.
This puerto rican guy sketches me out a tad bit...

UGH! yes!!!! I hope he doesn't go through. I do not want to see him again... and I have a feeling he might go through

Posted: 3/3/09 at 9:47pmHe's a little creepy, but he was one of the better ones. I refuse to jump on the blind guy's wagon. It's an inspiring story, but as everyone else said, he would have been slaughtered if he wasn't blind. I don't think Scott's gay, but his brother sure is.

Posted: 3/3/09 at 9:49pmThey told him to lose the accent. Maybe he should change his name to George, too, to be safe. And sing a Connie Francis song.

I thought that was cute. He seems like a nice guy.

They all stink, including the blind guy.

Yeah, that was adorable, and he was better than most this week, I will admit. In his original audition he creeped me out though.
Calvin- agreed.
This show is making me feel SO much snarkier than usual...

Posted: 3/3/09 at 9:51pmBTW, what was Simon's "shocking revelation" they keep plugging for the local news after the show?
re: AMERICAN IDOL#685
Posted: 3/3/09 at 9:58pmLet me know if you find out- that's not being plugged on my local news station...
re: AMERICAN IDOL#686
Posted: 3/3/09 at 9:58pmI think the top three tonight will be Scott, Lil Rounds, and Von Smith.

Oh Adriana, why'd ya have to go mess with ABBA. ABBA songs do not require riffs and trills and if you had to do a non-ABBA take on it, follow the lead of Louise Pitre and Meryl Streep and give it a Jacques Brel twist. Which on AI would still go over like a lead balloon.
Paula was actually dead on when she mentioned that the song was melody driven...it didn't need the BS.

Jorge - Great performance and his personality put him over the top.
Lil - She doesn't even break a sweat.
Ju'Not - Surprisingly beautiful take on the song.
I also liked Von for the first time. Wouldn't mind if he got through.
Oh, Nate. Hopefully, you'll grow out of it. If not, well...it's not like we hate Corky St. Clair.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#689
Posted: 3/3/09 at 10:14pmLil will get through based on her performance, and Scott will get through based on his story. After that, you could pick a name out of a hat for the third slot from Von, Kristen, Felicia, and Ju'Not.

The revelation: Simon's favorite in the competition is Adam Lambert.
I had to sit through a Nigerian dating scam story just to find out that?

I was waiting for that too, Calvin. Now I have to wait for them to talk to original Rent cast members about the tour.
Idol is on three nights this week?? I just want the season to get going already. Right now, nobody really thrills me.

My favorites of the night were Jorge (I love him!!), Ju'Not (he was amazing after all those really bad performances) and Felicia ( I really enjoyed her performance).
Who I think will probably go through is Lil, Scott(he was no where near as good as they made him out to be)and the third spot is up for grabs.

Lil (stupid name) and Jorge will win the night with the third spot going to Von or the blind guy, who I think is sweet but cannot sing. He stunk singing Daughtry in Hollywood, so it aint the piano.
I was impressed with Von and the replacement girl...even though I detest that A. Keys song. I thought Jeaneaeu (I refuse to put an apostrophe in someone's first name) was fine, but nothing great and not as good as the other two. I'd rather he get in before the blind guy, but that's not likely.

You could simply type the ever popular phrase, "Jew, no!"

Posted: 3/4/09 at 5:59pmDoodle, I was thinking Lil was a ridiculous name too, until I thought maybe it's short for Lillian or something? Or is that giving her too much the benefit of the doubt?
