I think the judges decided yesterday that the three will be Matt,Jasmine,and Megan. So they commented accordingly. Megan was awful, but they all raved. hmmmm.

I told my daughter when the show started that they were going to pick 13- it was so obvious to me. I also knew they would pick Jasmine for the demographic and Megan because Simon was foaming at the mouth about her. She didn't have the strongest vocals- but that can be fixed in studio. It was her personality and camera-friendly looks that got her in. They had to put Anoop in- c'mon- it's the year of Slumdog Millionaire and he had great personality! This year totally blows the ratio of girls to boys so it should be interesting.

Today is the one year anniversary of Eve Carson, who was the student body president at UNC Chapel Hill, and was shot to death. It was, obviously, very traumatic for the whole community. That is what Anoop was referencing.

I'll reiterate what I said yesterday: the judges' decisions were set in stone before the show began, and nothing that happened on that stage mattered. Simon said it best when he said that the judges' job was to 'cast' the finals, not necessarily choose the best singers. If last night's performances mattered, Jesse and Ricky would have advanced rather than Megana nd Jasmine.

I agree with matt - it was all pre-picked anyway.

Megan CANNOT SING. Yes, she's pretty, but her voice is like nails on a chalkboard. Then again, I thought the same thing of Fantasia's voice, so what do I know?

Jesse and Ricky were both far stronger than Megan and Jasmine (and anyone who can justify Jasmine as anything OTHER than filling a profile needs to get into law school stat because that was the most blatant case of "casting" ever.
