PHEW. Good lord that was close with Allison!!
But it's all good
Even though it was still slightly sad to see Anoop go. His voice IS uber pretty, if nothing else, and he does seem like a nice guy. I probably would have preferred if Matt left. But only by a little, so it's not a huge deal.
I'm just SO relieved that Allison is still in!
My ideal Adam/Kris/Allison top 3 is still in tact <33

(see, I told you I would say hi on the AI thread!)

haha heyy clever name!! It was nice meeting you too!
Just so as not to get OT:
David Archuleta, though he sounded quite a bit off, is still just as much of a cutie pie as ever!
Adam and Kris were also both especially adorable tonight I thought :P
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1733
Posted: 4/23/09 at 12:53amI really liked David Archuleta last season, but he was flat out awful tonight.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1734
Posted: 4/23/09 at 7:54amArchie is cute, but he has ALWAYS sounded like he needs a breathing machine. It's annoying as all hell.

According to entertainment weekly, next week's theme is songs from the Rat Pack.
Archuletta still sucks as much as he did last year. I still don't get how he made it to top two.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1736
Posted: 4/23/09 at 8:31amWow, if things weren't tough enough for Allison being in the bottom three almost every week, the 'Rat Pack' theme seems far better suited for the guys than for her.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1737
Posted: 4/23/09 at 9:13amAdam can do Rat Pack, no problem. And actually, imo, I don't think there is a genre Allison can't do. She brings something unique to each one, I just hope Matt goes home next week. That was ridiculous!!

I thought David A. has a little more sophistication and charm since he's been on the show. He's come out of his shell and smiles now!
His voice isn't the best, but I can't help but like the guy. Very likeable kid.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1739
Posted: 4/23/09 at 10:22amI think Allison needs to hit a home run this week, like what Kelly Clarkson did in season one with 'Stuff Like That There'.

I think he's likable too Jane. He seems like a nice kid.
I'd like Matt to go next, followed by Dorkey, with a top 3 of Adam, Kris and Allison.
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1741
Posted: 4/23/09 at 10:43amI'm with you Stockard! I hope the final two are Adam and Allison. I would like for Adam to win, but honestly, if it comes down to Adam and Allison, I don't care who wins :) they will both be kickass!
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1742
Posted: 4/23/09 at 10:46amDid you know Matt has two Christian cd's available on Amazon? One of them is out of stock. Has anyone heard them?
re: AMERICAN IDOL#1744
Posted: 4/23/09 at 10:56amI thought David Archuleta was adorable. I thought his performance was fine...not outstanding, but fine. He looked like he was having fun. And when he was asked to give advise to the bottom two he was so sweet and gave a very articulate and thoughtful response. What a sweetheart.

I didn't get a chance to watch last night, but I'm so relieved Lil and Anoop are out. I'd agree that Matt and Gokey should be next, with Kris, Allison and Adam rounding out the top 3. I'd actually prefer Allison win, just because I don't think Adam NEEDS to as much as she does. He's going on to bigger and better things either way.
Also, I'm going to lose my dial Idol virginity next week and vote for her. This bottom 3 thing each week is ridiculous.

I think he'll do fine without winning as well. It's just that my favorite has never won (well Season 1, but I wasn't as invested in it back then), and DAMMIT I want my favorite to win for once!
Oh and I guess David C. was my favorite last season, but I didn't really vote last year.

I think next week's theme works to Matt's strengths and I think Alison is in danger again.
I have no idea why she is not registering with the home voters! Crazy!
Archuletta is a cute kid, and I like his voice, but that song was terrible.

I'm not TOO worried about Allison. I think she'll be just fine- she knows how to make any song work for her :)
And in terms of voters, I actually think this was a really good wake up call for people to amp up their votes for her. I would be almost more worried if she HAD been safe last night, because people might start to get lazy for next week. Now everyone's going to be all about voting for her because they know she came really close to going home.
I'm really starting to thing that an Adam/Kris/Allison top 3 might just be possible after all! Although Danny still provides a challenge... I'm worried Allison might go 4th and Danny might make it into the top 3. But I'm still hoping that by some miracle Danny will go 4th (which is actually exactly the spot he deserves- he HAS been consistent and has great pitch. He's just also very boring).
At the beginning of the season, though, it was a total stretch that we'd get an A/K/A final 3. But now it's seeming more and more possible! I especially think Kris is going to be in there. It's just a matter of whether or not Allison can beat out Danny.
