Wasn't it Archie that just sat down on the stage in the middle of the two groups?

I hung out with Cheyenne Jackson in his dressing room waayyyyyy before he tickled D2.

I think a few did the sit down, right? And George Huff (is that his name?) just giggled and said aw shucks or something like that.

Someone tell me what this man is doing on a stage.

Both David Cook and Bo Bice did the sit down thing instead of choosing...

After the performances that were on that stage last night, it's embarassing for AI to bring Hicks back.

I looked up at the TV and thoght that was Alan Arkin siiting on the chair next to Taylor Hicks. I was like, WTF is Alan Arkin doing up there?

WTF?! obviously this is a ploy to get more people to watch, right? these aren't the ACTUAL results, they can't be!

I never believed from day one that they reported the votes accurately. Whatever their reasons, I'm not worried about Adam having a career.

Maybe everyone thought Adam was safe. The Jennifer Hudson- Chris Daughtry kind of thing?

thank goodness he is safe!
and while Matt was singing, they showed Allison clapping and cheering him on and really, this season, everyone loves each other. It's a nice change to see everyone get a long and be friends and supportive for each other and show that it's genuine.

I've never seen a year where that hasn't happened. They're always supportive of each other.

Piano, I agree that this was just a ploy. I do believe that Matt did indeed get the least votes. But I do not believe for one minute that Adam and Kris were really the bottom 3. I think they did it as a shock factor.

That's so true, Hells! No reality at all.

re: being supportive-whether they feel it or not, they're going to act supportive on camera.

Just gonna say that THAT was the scariest night of AI for me. Like. Ever. haha

Seriously, WTF AI never do that to me again please!!!

That said, it's all good- Adam fans needed a wake up call. This most definitely gave it to us!

I agree with HellsBells' idea.
I also, though I love him, think a bit less of Adam for choosing a side. Not a good move for someone who has always been gracious to the band, judges and arrangers.

re: AMERICAN IDOL#1869

^I don't think any less of him at all for answering the question :) In fact, I think if anything it just proves that he really is genuine. He's always struck me as a very honest, forthright person. He obviously didn't enjoy having to choose at all, put I think he probably just isn't one to cop out on the tough questions. If he HAD sat in the middle, he would have been doing it just out of fear of being viewed as a jerk for choosing. And you know what? That would have been dishonest. So he went with it, being who he is as always, and I respect him for that.

And I'm sure Kris and Matt know him well enough to know that he wasn't doing it to diss them or anything! He was just saying that, based specifically on Tues. night, he felt Allison and Danny had particularly strong nights. That's all. Like he said, he loves them all! But he was asked to choose a side so he did, that's all.

For the people like, say, David Archuleta, who genuinely just would NEVER EVER choose in that situation, it makes sense that they'd sit in the middle. But I think that just isn't the kind of person Adam is. Doesn't make him any less of a nice or caring person. Just means he's very honest with people (about everything I'm sure) that way.

just my opinion :)

I thought it looked like he just was like "eeny meeny miny mo" picking a side. Like "uh.....ok I'll just go here"

The sitting in the middle thing is so 5 minutes ago. Been done to death.

Anyway, I think we are being manipulated. There is no way Adam was B2.

And Taylor Hicks. WTF was that? Not only was the song a mess, but his dancing and facial contortions were annoying as all hell.

They should change the name of the show to All About Adam. Even when the results have nothing to do with him, they have to make it about him. Taylor Hicks was more interesting than that fully staged soap opera.

It was the first time I've ever seen Taylor Hicks and I'd rather watch him perform again than sit through another All About Adam one-act play. That was far more ridiculous.
