Adam is great and I want him to win, but I didn't love either song. I liked them, but was hoping for more. The One arrangement just sort of went nowhere for me, like his 'If I Can't Have You'. I sort of expect the studio version to be better, with more room to build on what he was going for.

He did great on Cryin', I just don't love the song. I give him props for being able to even perform with how hard the backup singer and the band were fighting him on it.

Kris' performance of Heartless was my favorite of the night, by far.

Ok so here's the thing:

All in all, Kris's Heartless was the strongest thing of the night. PERFECT arrangement, wonderful vocals, just perfect.


However, I thought Adam was INCREDIBLE vocally with Cryin'. The song just didn't lend itself well to being cut down like that. Actually, both of Adam's performances were stellar but just the arrangements were choppy.

But with Cryin' especially, I felt like it was purely a matter of that it seemed really rushed. And yet the fact that it still soared, and he still managed to make it build, is I think a testament to how fantastic he is!

But, again, I have been wanting him to do that song from day 1, so I'm probably a bit biased haha. But yeah, I thought he killed it vocally, and it COULD have been one of his best performances ever. It was just choppy because they had to cut it down so much. That was kind of out of his control- the song just needs all its parts to really build properly and be epic. He did the best he could choosing how to do it.

I don't need a life that's normal. That's way too far away. But something next to normal would be okay. Something next to normal is what I'd like to try. Close enough to normal to get by.

I have gotten through for Kris once in the last 40 minutes. Let's keep our figures crossed. I know that Adam is going to win. I would just rather Kris go farther than Danny.

I'm reeeally torn. I will be SO bummed if Danny goes to the finale and Kris doesn't, after Kris gave such an amazing performance and Danny was totally boring, but I would never forgive myself for vote splitting if Adam went home tomorrow haha


I think maybe I'll sneak in just a few votes for Kris :P He NEEDS to be in over Danny man. He just needs to.

snl, I think what you're forgetting is that votes aren't going to be solely based on tonight's performances -- they're going to be cumulative. People aren't so much voting for one performance or another; they've already got their favorites that they're voting for.

I should vote for Kris, just because he was wearing the same nailpolish color I currently am. (Though I kind of blame Adam for that, so fairness dictates I vote for him too.)

I am VERY concerned that folks are so concerned about whether it's Kris or Danny in the final with Adam, that folks are going to focus their votes on them, to Adam's detriment.

PS - watching Danny perform, plus Kris' first number, I missed Allison even more that I expected.

Danny is a tool, he could not even make it through a church service without losing his voice. He is awful. My son said tonight, "Could he please clear his throat?"

Kris was great in his second song!

ADAM ROCKED! He is a great vocalist and top notch actor, he should win!
