I really thought it was a store for high schoolers. I was shocked to see it worn on college campuses.

Not high-school kids, not at ten-year-olds (that's just the Abercrombie store--that's where they sell their preteen-marketed thongs with "Wink Wink" written on them) but college students. That's why they can supposedly get away with selling risque and demeaning attire.

That's a great amount of pressure for teenage girls to fit in, and if they think being as likeable to men in a sexual way as possible is going to do that, it's certainbly not helping the women's movement any further. Aberccrombie, from the executive's mouths themselves, don't understand why anyone would object to these shirts. They're creating a stereotype. And it's certainly a deamning one. Especially since eighty per cent of the people in the room that we negotiated with were men, and the ones that were women had nothing to say but a glance to the men and a quick agreement with them.

How is any of this any different from ANYTHING being marketed today? My brother went to FL over break in October. He sent me a tank top that said "Save a horse -- ride a cowboy"
