I hope they stick to what it should be... not like what they did with the Garfield movies. And that's upsetting if the Chipettes aren't included!

uh no thanks.....didn't like them growing up, and certainly would not like them now with that rap look, ugh
It is ridiculous to set a detective story in New York City. New York City is itself a detective story...

I was hoping they'd stick to the actual cartoon form like they did in ROCKY & BULLWINKLE. I can't wait to see what the Smurfs look like!

I saw the poster today at the movies when I was waiting on line to get my Transformers tickets and the first thought in my head was WTF???"
Those imposters look nothing like the real chipmunks. Alvin is the only one with a hat, Simon is the smart one and has glasses, and Theodore doesn't wear a hat. Jason Lee will probably be great as David, but unless the first preview shows promise than maybe I'll see it, but right now I don't want to.

As soon as Chimpunks Around the World was released on DVD I found it by chance at a Walmart and it came with the soundtrack! Love it! This doesn't look very promising, but we will have to see.

I loved Chipmunk Adventure!
The "Mama" song that the Chipettes sing always made me cry as a kid. I always went and gave my mom a hug after watching that part.
This movie looks like cheap CGI and trash. I don't want them to ruin such a classic cartoon with such trash. And no Chipettes, what a rip!

that movie looks like it's targeting the African American market

The Chimpmunk Adventure is freakin amazing. I used to love it when I was a kid, it made me want a penguin.

Here it is, it still gets to me. When I was a kid I would cry my eyes out and go hug my mom when it got to this part.
I hope that they do the Chipmunks justice, but I have a feeling they won't.

That was depressing.
I liked DJ's clip better. That choreography was very Jerry Mitchell-esque! Speaking of Jerry Mitchell...my dream is for someone who knows a thing or two about animation to make a Chipettes music video of "Omigod You Guys!" No new voices needed. Those girls sound just like the Chipettes. All we need is the animation. How cool would that be?! Whenever I hear that song I immediately think of the Chipettes.

Nooo! I LOVED this show growing up and LOVED the original movie. But the computer animation...it's horrible! They're not SUPPOSED to look like REAL chipmunks! And they probably won't even have the same voices.
Way to go and rape the carcass of my childhood, Hollywood.

I wish the show were available on DVD. Or at the very least, rerunning somewhere.
