Posted: 2/1/05 at 9:01pmI am not sure how I feel for him, but I loved how Paula fought tooth and nail for a contestant she believed in.

Posted: 2/1/05 at 9:02pmI love that guy Anthony... the one who they compared to Clay!
#282re: American Idol
Posted: 2/1/05 at 9:03pmI didn't, he was dorky and could barely sing Emcee, I'm surprised at you. But I also despise Clay. And he needs to come out of the closet.

Posted: 2/1/05 at 9:05pmOh, but he's just so adorable. You know I'm a sucker for something adorable.
#284re: American Idol
Posted: 2/1/05 at 9:05pmI like him, but then again, I do like Clay, too. Clay will come out when he's ready.

Posted: 2/1/05 at 9:07pmI wouldn't say adorable. In my opinion, they both look like stereotypical booger-eating dorks - there's one in every school. Do you remember Chris Caprolingua, Emcee?

The last name sounds so familiar... but... no.
Adorable in a geeky, weird sort of way. But I was a HUGE Clay-hugger back in the day, so... yeah, I'm cool.

Actually, I am on your side Emcee. I was one of the people that voted NON-STOP for Clay. The main reason I did this was because of the voice.......the second reason was because I am getting tired of all these people in the music industry that is all about looks and no talent. I say, BRING ON THE DORKS, DWEEBS, AND NERDS WITH GREAT VOICS AND LET'S SHOW AMERICA WHAT REAL TALENT IS. HOORAH!!!!
I did like the chunky guy at the beginning that sang "Superstar." I didn't like how he talked and stuff because it seemed fake but his story was heartbreaking and he had a good voice. I also like the girl that sang "Chain of Fools." And that mime........PERFECTION!!!

WHAT THE F*CK IS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS???
"Wrong for Idol"???
How can you be WRONG for American Idol? You cannot speak for America! You cannot say what America should/would idolize! Maybe America's Idol is a Broadway singer with blue hair. Maybe America's Idol is a mime. A midget. A nerd. A model. Who knows.
It pisses me off when Simon turns away people because they sing Broadway.

Posted: 2/1/05 at 10:25pmThe phantom girl was VERY good. That is a natural talent if you ask me. She just started taking voice lessons, obviously her voice hasn't been molded from the voice lessons. She has a real natural talent. She will go far. Updated On: 2/1/05 at 10:25 PM

Posted: 2/1/05 at 10:32pmCapn: I half agree with you. Simon never says anyone is "too theatre" in a bad sense. But when everyone goes on in the competition, they all have to sing the same category of music, varying in styles - like country, rock, pop, etc. and they try every genre in their voice. It is common knowledge that someone with a rich, versatile pop'ish voice with a solid ripped body is going to get a lot farther than someone with a nice theatre voice with a flabby body. The American Idol is not a mime - it's a singing competition. I know you were just trying make a point, but it's now really plausible. And they all told Clay Aiken he had a theatre voice, but they never dismissed him from the competition for it. He does have a more theatre-friendly voice, but look how far he's gone now?

My heart went out to Scott, the white guy with the soulful voice whose Dad told him he would never amount to nothing!
What a voice!
