I have to admit, I'm a sucker for a cute country singer.

I was not a fan of the first set of twins.

And, holy crap, what are they doing to the poor boys?! (the 2nd twins) Updated On: 1/25/05 at 08:54 PM

But the second set, yummy!

Maybe they'll hit the adult video circuit!!!

They blew the first set out of the water, and still they did not get through - boo!

What a bunch of crap. The first set of twins were pretty much jokes and the second set were really good and they didn't make it. I would have walked out too. Jeez!

Vegas looked like it should be interesting.

I agree, spider!

I think having four judges is NOT a good idea... So, when it's split two and two, the nays have it? I don't understand.

neither do I. I mean, this is a singing contest but the last three seasons I have seen people cut that have AWESOME voices but either there look was wrong or something. And COME ON!!!! Gene Simmons said no to everyone pretty much, even the good ones.

And I love Gene's comment about "Pop music is about sex and other things." Really, pop music is what you make of it. Clay has a HUGE career and he won't see of it as well as other pop stars who sing of "love" but not sex.

I thought it was rather strange that Gene Simmons made some comment to the 2nd set of twins (the good ones who didn't make it), that they were too old to be doing what they did. Hello, Gene, and you're not???!!! No fool like an old fool.

I only watch the auditions, the rest sucks. I'm a mean person...I watch and I laugh. But we should give them credit, I mean, they have the guts to go for it in the first place ::claps::. But it is kinda pathetic...

A most ingenious paradox.

Last night was the first episode of American Idol that I have seen. For those who are fans, I have a question.

If someone is not featured on the audition episode but makes it to Hollywood, what do you think that says? Do they have little chance once they reach Hollywood, or is their backstory just not good television?

I like that Emily girl, even if she's a bit weird. I can't believe that guy is saying he's 28!

I have no idea. Guess they think that's the only way they'll get in.

That guy was awesome. I felt like if he would have played up that brittish accent a bit more, Simon would have liked him better re: American Idol

I'm a little late on this audition, but the guy who came in with his "people" and you couldn't understand one word he was saying was hilarious. I mean, the way he walked and talked was...LOL! Wow...some people are so crazy... ::scratches head::

DBilly, I think it means their back story isn't good enough and they're above average but not blow-out fantastic. I may be wrong, but I think all of the people who wound up in the top few for the last 3 seasons were all on TV for their auditions. Which leaves little hope for this year.

Then again, that Vegas showgirl and the super skinny Veldez (?) girl had great voices. But that Lion King kid pissed me off.
