The song Chris sang is called "Hemorrhage," originally performed by Fuel.

Chris was amazing. However, I'm turning into a Will Makar fan. Chris and Will are my top 2 guys as I'm done with Taylor's constant spasms. My girls are Mandisa and Lisa. I've got my top 4 down.

Taped the episode tonight (just starting it now actually). Of the girls, my three faves are definitely Mandisa, Paris, and Lisa. Although I want Paris to win it... she seems like the kind of person who would be a huge pop star.
Anyone see Lisa in Lion King? She's amazing and I could see her on Broadway way more than as a singer, exclusively. I think she has the best voice in the competition.

Elliott and Chris are my Idols. Love! Ace is just pretty, last week's performance was infinitely better. And though safe, I thought Will did much better this week. Sway and David, pack your bags.
But oh! The shot of Bo right after Taylor's performance!
Chris and mandiza are now my top choices.. with that Paris girl right behind them.
I just watched the show, this week has been really boring overall.

That corn bread girl with the Calamari routine has got to go. It would be that Diana Degarmo crap all over again. And that other kid killed himself by his Justin Guarini admiration.
I'm not as blown away by Chris as everyone else. Both those songs he's done have better notes written into them than what he's been able to hit singing them.
I guess even a basic level of rock frontman charisma sticks out that much more against a bunch of kids who listen to radio pop and aren't using to playing with a band and almost certainly wouldn't know the first thing to do playing in a club for an hour or so.
I imagine the rowdiest crowd most of these people played for was their high school May show.
God, I sound like a fogey.
You do. But thats ok.
I think they've all been pretty pitchy this week. I'm always amazed by the lack of real star quality on the show - its bizarre.
But last week the girls sounded great. I was thinking then maybe this year it would be more legit. Oh well. That Mandiza I tell you.. I think her best is yet to come.
This is typical of the other seasons...the second week is always, well, weak. I was not impressed by anyone but Elliot and Mandisa both weeks. Katherine McPhee was my favorite until this week...they all have to step up their game.
btw, WTF did that kid sing "Lady"...yeesh!
I'm loving Chris, Fuel has always been one of my favorite bands and he did that song perfectly!
I love Ace, but purely on a superficial level *blushes* he's got a good voice, but his looks I have to say are what really do it for me...don't know how far he'll go, but I do like him he's got some talent.
And I do love Taylor's voice, his expressions and "dancing" do grate the nerves a bit, but he's extremely talented. If he doesn't win, he'll have no trouble getting a recording contract.
For the girls I love Katherine she's got such an amazing voice and Paris and Lisa and Mandisa are stars too...
the ones that HAVE TO GO NOW!
Heather and Brenna for the girls
David and Sway for the boys...
I can't stand David and his goofy expressions, he's not even all that talented, yeah he can do the crooner thing, but he proved last week when he steps out of that box he's not really all that good. I tried to like him I really did, but the only way he'll make it through is if the legions of pre teens call and text because he's cute.
Mandesa will be gone by top 5 - mark my words. Its Jennifer Hudson all over again - she's just not most people in America's idea of an American Idol.
I hate to do this but I agree with you Michael. If I had my way she would probably make top 3 if not top 2. However, America is shallow with bad taste. That's what experience watching this show, other shows with voting involved, and, most obviously, recent presidential elections, has taught me.
My top 3 favorite guys:
Will
Chris
Elliot (although I don't like his personality).
My top 3 favorite girls:
Lisa
Mandisa
Paris (I don't like her personality either).
Also... I hate that people vote Kevin through because they feel bad for him. I mean, I feel bad for him too but he's just not good enough to be on that stage. Why sacrifice someone else's dream because of pity.
WHO chooses those crappy opening numbers?
I'm going to have nightmares from that "Love The One You're With" group trainwreck.
In other news, Carrie Underwood is still boring as hell, and who the f**k can take a song called "Jesus, Take The Wheel" seriously?
"I'm always amazed by the lack of real star quality on the show - its bizarre."
i have to agree for this season-I'm underwhelmed by the lot of them. I have no favorite at this point.
It was a big hit, so apparently, a lot of people. But, I'm not crazy about it either. I wish they had chosen a different song for her first single. If there was any chance of a crossover career, they crushed it.
Brenna's in the bottom three!
Brenna is going home! Yay!
