re: American Idol Predictions

I cannot believe Bucky is still there. I liked Ayla and thought she deserved to be in the top 12. I can't stand Melissa and Kelli, I hope they get the boot soon. Mandisa, Katharine, Paris and Taylor are my faves =)

re: American Idol Predictions

Francis Gumm - over 20 million people voted, which means every contestant most likely got a million votes at least. Kevin's entire high school voting for him wouldn't make much difference.

re: American Idol Predictions

I REALLY love Melissa's voice, so I am kinda glad Ayla went home.. she kind of rubbed me the wrong way.. too much of a perfectionist.

I am SOOO upset Gideon is gone! He has one of the best voices out of all of the guys! Kevin and Bucky should have left!

re: American Idol Predictions

Now that the top 12 get "stylists" will they fix Elliott and Bucky's teeth? Please?

re: American Idol Predictions

Awwwwwwwwwwwwww cmon Kevin's a little cutie lol.

Ayla should have been in the top 12...well, she said she had a full scholarship to BC, so good for her, she's going off to college and getting a degree.

Chicken Little needs to go. Sure he's "cute", but he's not going to win, so they might as well get rid of him now. He butchered one of the greatest songs ever, last night.

re: American Idol Predictions

Very happy about the outcome last nite...thought Melissa was gonna go, and I like Ayla, but neither was going to stay too long anyway.

Now we get to see how versatile these people are...next week: Stevie Wonder...who do you think can handle it? Should be interesting when they get to Barry Manilow, Burt Bacharach, etc...

I am NOT impressed yet by: Chris - okay, but why all the hoopla? Lisa - sweet, lovely, small voice trying too hard to sound big, Paris - not living up to my expectations...maybe song choice, maybe not...

My final 3 - Mandisa, Elliot, Katharyn (tho she has to pull it together soon...Simon will get her kicked off if she doesnt deliver.)

oh...and...
Ace = Justin Guarini

re: American Idol Predictions

doodlenyc, I completely agree with your Ace assessment.

While I wish Bucky and/or Kevin would have gone home, I'm glad Gedeon is gone. He wasn't a bad singer, but he annoyed the hell out of me. Even though she f**ked up this week, I wish Kinnik had stayed and Melissa or Kellie had gone home, but I'm happy that Ayla left because she was truly awful this week and unimpressive the other 2 weeks.

re: American Idol Predictions

I also agree. Ace is worst than Guarini.

I hope Mandisa wins.

re: American Idol Predictions

Sad to see Ayla and Gedeon go. Ayla was miles better than Melissa and Kelly (Pickles drives me up a wall). Even though kelly gets major (unwarranted) praise, I think she stinks.

Just my humble opinion! :)

I think Kevin should have gone before Gedeon.

I can't wait to see Chris Daughtry tackle some of the uuber-pop theme nights. I mean, if they do a Barry Mannilow night, should be funny, no?

re: American Idol Predictions

That is the reason I chose Mandisa, Katharine and Elliot...they are the only ones who will be able to deliver in any style...and each of their voices are terrific. Like I said tho, Katharine is coming off a bit arrogant which is why Gedeon was kicked off last nite...it was hard to like him.

re: American Idol Predictions

I haven't been watching. I likely won't. I'd rather be forced into hosting a karaoke idol contest in Duluth than watch these wannabes strut around.
That said, is it possible that Ace Young is as cute as his pictures on the Idol website? Dang.
The arched eyebrows are a sign of...something.

re: American Idol Predictions

Sorry Bway, he's taken. He's hooked with Essence Atkins, an actress who's a regular on the UPN series Half & Half

re: American Idol Predictions

Ah. So he has no taste. So glad I didn't turn on the telly to Fox, then. re: American Idol Predictions

re: American Idol Predictions

Okay, it's only 30 seconds into the performance, but Ace is so off that it's painful to listen to.

I had to mute it. Maybe he got better towards the end.

*edit* Is Paula on crack?

His looks are going to carry him WAY too far in this competition.
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson

re: American Idol Predictions

Paula is on crack.

And did everyone hear about Chris? I guess the lead singer of Fuel (Hemmorage band) quit and he was approached to be the new lead singer of the already established band and because of the American Idol coontract he had to turn it down. That sucks.

re: American Idol Predictions

Pickler, STFU! You really have to be an absolute moron to be unfamiliar with Stevie Wonder's music.

She doesn't sound so good either.
And how can you not know Stevie Wonder's music?
No day but today.

Her frequent off-key moments were the only thing that kept me from falling asleep.
