Last week, during the intro to her song, she was babbling about "Whatever your problem, whatever your lifestyle, God can heal you..." or some crap like that.
Word was, she also didn't want them gay boys who work as stylists for the show doing her hair.

I googled Beth Moore and on her site she says we should be color blessed not color blind.
The bottom three should have been Ace, Elliot, and Mandisa. And Elliot and Ace should have been the bottom two with Elliot going home. But, oh well...I loved Mandisa and I can really see a big and bright future ahead of her. I wonder how she would be as Effie in Dreamgirls. She definitely has the pipes to make "AIATY" a knockout but can she act? Hmm...
But honestly, I think Mandisa has a very bright future ahead and I have hardly ever said that about any of the contestants kicked off who were not in the final two.
I just realized how good the contestants are this year. They are all so amazing. Every year, you can kind of pick out who will be going and it all leads to one performer but the momentum seems to keep switching from performer to performer week after week. If up to me, this is what I would pick as the order for the upcoming weeks (#8 being the person who should go next, #1 being the potential winner as of now)
8 ) Elliot
7 ) Bucky
6 ) Ace
5 ) Taylor
4 ) Katherine
3 ) Kellie
2 ) Paris
1 ) Chris
I think America will do the following (or somewhere along the lines of the following):
8 ) Bucky
7 ) Elliot
6 ) Paris
5 ) Taylor
4 ) Kellie
3 ) Ace
2 ) Chris
1 ) Katherine
Ace is still in it because of his looks; he is really not that good a singer. He should go soon.
Elliot is just not likeable. An alright singer but NO personality and definitely does NOT have the image of an American idol. He'd better go soon.
Paris I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE. I think she is amazingly talented, has a great personality, and I don't know why but everything is telling me that she will be kicked off prematurely. I hope she will get a record deal and have a wonderful career because she deserves it. She's exceptional; the best girl in the race without a doubt.
Taylor is alright but every performance seems to be so shticky and a carbon copy of the week before. He needs to mix it up as much as possible and take more chances.
Chris is excellent and should win, IMO. Last nights performance convinced me he should because he showed that he can tackle songs other than rock and deliver very good performances with them. He is versatile but he needs to show it a little bit more.
Katherine I really don't find that appealing. She is a great singer but she seems like such a boring hum-drum American girl. She needs to show a lot more personality IMO.
Kellie is adorable. She is so great and I really think she is so talented and cute and I just want to squeeze her. When she's talking its like she is a totally different person than when she is performing. She is such a driven performer with such a likeable and smile-enducing personality. She's so wonderful but I think America will grow tired of her playing dumb so much (even though I think thats how she really is) and kick her off a bit earlier than she should be going.
Bucky is just awful. I'm sorry but he needs to go home now. I dont see the appeal at all. He is boring, pointless, and so just...blah. He really isn't that good a singer either. He's an ok singer but he has a very good potential that he just isn't even attempting to reach.
I don't see how Bucky can still be on the show and Mandisa can be out. The show is not "Politically Correct Idol" its "American Idol", a singing competition. However, it is a shame that Mandisa doesn't know her audience. Every queen I know was waiting with baited breath for Showtunes Night when she would sing "And I Am Telling You."
Honestly, I liked Mandisa's voice, but if she really is a gay-basher, I'm glad she got kicked off tonight. We don't need people like her on TV.

Good night and good luck Mandisa. Your 15 minutes of fame is finally over. She was generic all the way.

wow, it's cool if you don't like Mandisa, but please watch the line between insulting her and indirectly insulting the beliefs of other board members (ie: "all her Jesus crap was enough for me.")
if someone said about a contestant "all their gay-rights crap was enough for me" they'd probably be run off the board.
Not trying to start a debate, just trying to keep it welcoming here for everyone...none of us want to feel ostracized. :)
I was the one who said that, and I see your point, rentaholic. I do have to clarify that I didn't mean to imply that I hate her beliefs. Just the way she keeps pushing them into everyone's faces. Anyone who's in a public light, and chooses to promote an agenda, whether it's a religious belief, or gay bashing, just doesn't sit well with me. American Idol is watched by people of many religions. It's an entertainment show, and not the place to push and promote a specific religious belief. So that's what I meant when I said I was sick of her "Jesus crap". I want to see her sing, not praise the lord.
But I do apologize to anyone who took offense to that.

Chris or Paris all the way. I am really sad that Mandesa was off tonight, that really should have been Bucky. I can not stand him.
I thought Mandisa was more talented than many of those remaining and I was very surprised she was voted off.
I love Elliott. He is by far my favorite. I understand that Chris will win but I'd like Elliott to be close. People who say he has an average voice make me wonder.

I don't care that Mandisa was public about being Christian and loving Jesus, whatever. That didn't bug me. It was her preaching before last week's gospel song that got me, and yes the "lifestyle" comment jumped out at me before I got on any message board that night. Mandisa, don't tell me I need to be saved and that God will bless me. Really.
<---Obviously my favorite is that sweet and ridiculously talented mensch Elliott. He did NOT deserve to be in that bottom 3 last night.
Even though I liked her voice, I am so freaking glad she is gone. I do NOT want to be preached to ever by people on TV, especially on American Idol. It is great that she believes that stuff, but so many people don't and don't want to hear about it. It's not like anyone is going to be like "Oh Mandisa said God has the answers, she is so right!"
Good ridance

We need to stick together. I agree about Elliott not deserving to be in the bottom three. No reason for that.
All I know is I can't handle another week of Pickler.
And I will be sad tongiht after "Survivor" because I fear Austin is going home, but I don't think anyone but me cares about "Survivor" anymore...lol.

I'm with you DawnlikesRent! You're the only enthusiastic Elliott fan I've seen on this board. Can't wait to see what he does with Queen next week!
I, too, ADORE Elliott! And Chris.
I did like Mandisa, but she got bland. And, yes, I have a hard time supporting someone who may be a bigot.

If Mandisa had kept her religous and political beliefs out of the competition, she probably would have done much better. But hey, she is who she is, and that's the way it goes (and she's gone!)
Now, on to Queen - I think Elliott is suited well to Queen, he has the smooth voice like Freddie Mercury, and he has the range. He has the potential to do very well with this theme, and that makes me happy, because I like him.
Kellie is at the most risk with Queen I think. Unless, of course, she (predictably) picks "Crazy little Thing Called Love," which she probably will. Snore.
Paris could have trouble, although I bet she could do "Somebody to Love" (although I'd prefer Elliott sing this one!)
Bucky's best bet is "Fat Bottomed Girls" but I bet he chooses "Another One Bites the Dust."
Katharine should sing "Killer Queen" or "You're My Best Friend."
Ace or Chris will choose "Bohemian Rhapsody." Actually Chris may do that one (predictable) or "We Are the Champions." Ace will do the other one.
Not sure yet what I think Taylor will attempt. Could be interesting.
Just my early thoughts! Next week should be a blast.

Count me as an Elliot fan too!
Definitely the best voice in the competition.
Mandisa can believe any way she likes, but preaching on American Idol is simply not cool, especially if she is preaching intolerance. That makes me intolerant. Bye, Mandisa.

Exactly - She can believe what she wants, but if she doesn't keep it private, well then, the consequence is that people will not tolerate her (and not vote her in). Bye Mandisa!
So...I've watched all of the American Idol seasons so far. I can honestly say I have not really cared who won up until this season. Ah...it is to the point where I might actually be forced to vote. If Amercia won't keep Elliott out of the bottom three...I will have to do it myself. Ha...just kidding...but I sure am going to try.
Queen? NO ONE can sing like Freddie Mercury!
I think Elliott's a great singer but he needs to learn how to bring the house down. He's too passive a performer.
