American Idol Predictions

It cracks me up. Because here we are supposed to have the some of the BEST new singers out there on this show, and yet none on them can even come close to the talent that is offered on Broadway.

Oh Elliott! He was amazing tonight. I hope everyone starts to take notice. That will teach them to ignore him for the last couple of weeks. I am also a Chris fan...but tonight..I was not so excited. He could have done a song that people had heard of and he would have done amazing. Oh well. Go Elliott!

American Idol Predictions

If Elliott does that for the CD or the concerts, I will DIE. Well, the CD will probably be Moody's Mood for Love, but I'm just fine with having all 5 minutes of Somebody to Love at the concert.

Kellie's 80s slut rocker thing would have come across way better if it was a different song. I was ready to hurl during her entire performance...I love that song so much. American Idol Predictions

Pickler just plain sucks. And the things that come out of that hick mouth of hers are grounds for a slap down.

I'm not crazy about anyone this year on Idol. I don't know, I think they're all boring.

American Idol Predictions

I agreed with Simon about Chris. My wife was talking all evening about how she couldn't wait to see Chris do a Queen song and then he comes out and does a song I've never even heard. If Chris would've came out and did one of the big songs that everyone knows, I think he could've written his ticket to that contract, but instead he came out and sang a song that I thought was rather boring. I think Simon is totally spot on when he says the song is indulgant because, to me, Chris is getting really, really boring. Every week he comes out and sings the same kinds of songs in the exact same way. He's a good singer, but I want to see him stretch himself out and show me he can do more than give me the angst look while he sings his rock songs with a massive amount of bravado.

Elliot was by far the best of the night. He picked quite possibly the hardest Queen song of the night and just blew it away. I've said from the start that he's the best male singer on the show and I think last night proved it.

Kellie actually did better than I thought she would do, but she should be gone simply because she continues to play up the whole "I'm a dumb blonde country gril" routine with the whole "on paper? what does on paper mean?"

I think the bottom three will be Bucky, Ace, and probably McPhever even though I thought she had the second or third best vocal of the night.

American Idol Predictions

I personally didn't like Elliot's performance, i found it one of his weaker performances. I loved Chris, but then I love Innuendo, it may not be a big song but it's a good song. I have a soft spot for Ace, but I think he will be going tonight.

My favorites where Chris, Katherine and Taylor

Least favorites Bucky Ace and Elliot

Bottom Three will be Bucky Ace and I think either Katherine or Paris just based on fanbase and past weeks.

American Idol Predictions

If Ace makes the final three it's on his looks alone and it's a disgusting event in the history of AI.

It would also be an instance of history repeating itself *coughJustinGuarinicough*

American Idol Predictions

Best of the night:
Elliot - by far
Katharine
Paris - for the first time in a while...good for her.

Worst of the night:
Ace
Bucky
Kellie - not as bad as I thought she'd be.

I dont believe that it is a rule that if you've been in the bottom three that you dont have a fan base...Justin, Ruben, Fantasia, Bo all were in the bottom three at least once in the early rounds. People do change their loyalties and I really think that what Simon says sways voters.

I do NOT understand why he dislikes Elliot so much, tho. He is not the best performer, but he consistantly sings great and should be recieving the praise Chris has been getting, IMO.

American Idol Predictions

Elliot was by far the best, followed by Katharine and then Paris. I missed Bucky's performance, but the rest were forgettable. I love Chris, but yeah, boring song choice. I think Kellie is only moderately talented and the dumb act is grating on my nerves.

I'm not a Taylor fan at all, but I love that song so it was somewhat enjoyable.

And then there's Ace. WHYYYYY is Ace still there? I guess the little girls are rooting for him because he's "cute", but I don't see any appeal at all, physically or musically.

But I voted for Elliot a few times; he was great!

American Idol Predictions

As far as Ace goes, even the 14-year old girls I have in class who were swooning over him at the beginning are growing tired of him. But it seems like a lot of them are now going on and on about Kellie, but of course I'm from Kentucky so I have girls just like her in class.

Every year there are two or three people that sneak along farther than they should (John Stephens, Steve from last year, etc.), so Ace still being around doesn't surprise me. Usually though America has the good sense to start eliminating the wheat from the chafe about this time, so hopefully Ace, Bucky, and Kellie should be the next three to go. Ideally my final four would be Katharine, Eliot, Paris (one of these three should probably win), and either Chris or Taylor, but I just have a sneaking suspicion that we're gonna get Kellie, Chris, or Taylor as the winner and quite possibly the final three.

I eat my words from my prior post.

Taylor made me proud. He did well last night. Perfect song choice for him.

I hope he makes it to the final 3 to keep it interesting.

American Idol Predictions

I'll just start this by saying I am 100% a Elliott fan. With that said...I would like to go off on a tangent about Chris.
The first couple of weeks I really liked his performances. I figured he would win. Lately, I have not been as blown away by his performances. I thought he did pretty well on Country night. But last night his song was boring. I think he is intentionally picking random, rock type songs. Which is fine I guess, but on Queen night sing something we've heard of. Don't get me wrong...I think he has a great voice. I just think he needs to realize who his audience is.
Enought of that. No bottom three for Elliott tonight. Goodbye Ace!

American Idol Predictions

I don't even know who's going to be elimated tonight. I think I've stopped caring. The past couple weeks I've been less then impressed with our idols' performances. I guess I agree that the next to go will be Ace, but again, I'm not sure. America could surprise us.

American Idol Predictions

The group medley was okay, but the split-screen thing was a very bad idea. A tiny image of the actual performance and a huge chunk of the screen taken up by a clip show.

Heh, I actually liked that car commercial skit. Mini-golf and Hit Me With Your Best Shot, a great combo.

Well, Rod Stewart is currently on Clive Davis's record label, the same label that will sign the winner. Corporate synergy at work!

American Idol Predictions

He sounds even better tonight. Less nervous.

Actually, not nervous at all.

Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be enbered with your old nonsense. ~ Emerson
