Last time I saw him he was playing a singing hamburger cook on that Fox show that was set in a mall food court. Was he playing a role or was it art imitating life???

I think it would be a cool testament to the shows success if Chris wins because then, the list of winners would include:
a pop singer (Kelly)
R&B (ruben and Fantasia)
country (Carrie)
and rock (Chris)

It's pointless (albeit fun) to debate who should win based on talent. That's not how this show, or the voting process, works. At this point it's nothing more than a popularity contest. It has nothing whatsoever to do with talent. IMO, Chris is the most talented of the lot, and he may in fact end up winning, but that's only because he's hot and has charisma in addition to being talented. He's my pick. Which means he probably won't win. But please God... let Ace be next! I deplore him and his deer in the headlights expression.
That said, Chris has a challenging week ahead of him having to perform a song from the Great American Song Book. But I'm betting that he can pull it off. If Rod Stewart can, so can he.

well they cant arrange the songs of the Great American Songbook so that might be difficult for Chris. Though scary of how much they can butcher songs, i'm very excited!

Chris could very well end up in a "shocking" bottom 3 this week, especially if the judges give good praise. Happened to Katharine. I won't be surprised if Elliott ends up in the bottom 3, but this week was MADE for him (and Katharine). I'm happy that no one's allowed to change the arrangement.

me too! if chris would have converted any of the songs to rock i would have beaten my tv up! i hope Kat and Elliott do well, but then again bucky didnt do so well in 'his element' i just hope ace goes home...or even better-KELLIE! but thats wishful thinking

Either Pickler, Taylor, or Ace gone are OK by me. And then the real competition will be Chris, Katharine, Paris, and Elliott, aka the talented ones.
I fear for Elliott. He has a definite fan base, but it seems smaller than the others.

I fear for Elliott too. I love Elliott and he is my favorite. I just do not have faith that America will choose him over Kelly or Taylor. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he has at least one more week in him. If America goes for Ace over Elliott I'm not sure what I will do.
