Only if she hadnt "learned the truth.":)
She didnt smile during "over the rainbow."
I truly do not care one way or another...just my opinions. Her intonation has been off sometimes, but not consistantly and certainly not as much as Chris' was.
Sure. But I would still rather listen to her than those other two. Eliot does nothing for me. And Taylor I just want to smack . His shtick really gets on my nerves.. and apparently.. not a very nice person.
I also admit that she needs to figure a few things out, like when to belt, when to use runs, etc....but she is def. ahead of Taylor and Chris in vocal talent.
Yes, he is an annoying, generic talent. He has no style of his own. I think that's what puts me off the most. He is being set up as the next AI and it's a sham(e).

Ok, Dialidol only measured 2 out of 3 lines this week. Plus it doesn't take texts into account. Plus, it's more of a random sampling of the voting population....many people don't have the software or can't because you need a modem. Elliott and Kat are both within 28 based off two lines. Texts count for everything this week. If the producers don't suddenly decide to pull sh*t with this ridiculously close competition.
I also don't think the producers counted on pissed off E fans. I alone put in nearly 400 texts last night, and that's nothing for his fanbase....

"and how stupid and insulting they were"
????????????????????????????????????????
ETA 400 is not dedication, its lunacy. Its a TV show people. not real life. it doesnt matter who wins, each of the top three is gonna get a record, i gurantee it.
Last night I realized I really don't like Taylor's performances. He was given songs by two of the most soulful singers around -- Joe Cocker and Bruce Springsteen -- and he really came off as a two-dimensional cardboard impression of them. Just completely inorganic performances.
Elliott and Katharine have their flaws, sure, but they're better singers and when they've gotten it all together, they've soared. Taylor's good schtick isn't noticeably better than his bad schtick, it's all just about trying to be the same.
Soul Patrol? I can't think of a more vanilla, safe and lifeless performer -- he truly is a wedding singer at best. Perhaps when he wins he can sing 'YMCA' for everyone, and then he can dance around and that's really funny. Apparently.
"thats why I think they nee to cut down on all the back story crap they show. "
oh...Dame...how naive
That's the real reason for this show, silly!
JP...that is PERFECT! I can see it now...
Taylor Hicks to tour in The Wedding Singer!
I don't think it matters if they're nice people or more dedicated than the others, or more emotional. The most dedicated, emotional and nice person can still suck or not be suited for the entertainment business. Not that I adore Katherine, but she fits the bill more than the other two in my opinion.
I see Elliott as a likeable nerd with a nice voice but little or no stage presence. . Just as hard to watch is Taylor, the spastic, grimacing goofball with too much stage presence, and not in a good way!
