I mean this in all seriousness....can someone explain the appeal of Chris Richardson? I just dont' get him. The tone of his voice just grates on my nerves. Is there something I'm missing?
Every time I see Haley sing, I just think she should be on a cruise ship somewhere. She has a nice voice, but it's not "pop idol" quality.
Enjoyed Lakisha and Melinda as usual....and actually didn't mind Blake too much this week.
I'm just glad he didn't try to add a beatbox!

Posted: 4/3/07 at 9:08pmI kept waiting for Haley to take something off and I thought the judge’s reaction to Lakisha's performance was a tad over-enthusiastic. The clip of her performance that they used at the end of the show was obviously from the rehearsal. But all in all, a very good show. (Except for Phil. He's creepy.)

Posted: 4/3/07 at 9:11pmI actually like Phil's voice, but completely agree with the judge's opinion of his performance tonight. He looked bored. There was NO connection in his song. I think he and Haley may be in the bottom three tomorrow.

Phil did look a bit like a serial killer tonight.
Honestly, I think Lakisha's a fairly bland and predictable performer. She's very awkward and does pretty much the same performance each week. She can sing, sure, but she doesn't come off especially comfortable up there.
Haley's smoking hot. That's enough to get my vote :)

I LOVED Phil tonight. He was SO good. He should have sung this stuff from the beginning. He was VERY good.
If he goes tomorrow I will be very disappointed
And Melinda was good tonight, but not great. I have heard MUCH better versions of that song, a few done in community theaters/choir concerts.

Phil is such a pansy. I can't believe that dude was in the military.

I finally figured out who Phil reminds me of. And don't tell me you can't see the resemblance.

Posted: 4/4/07 at 12:48amSuch a pandering ninny. Last week with the "Didn't you have fun audience?" and this week with the "I was just trying to think about my wife." Ugh.

My mom liked Chris's performance - let's just say she thought he did better than Phil (who's always been her favorite).
I was so delighted that Blake chose "Mack the Knife" because that's one of my favorite songs. And he did a fabulous job! Melinda, as usual, gave a fantastic performance. I knew the second she sang "My Funny Valentine" a while back that there is no style she can't put her personal stamp on. Jordin also did a great job - such an amazing voice.
Although I think the biggest surprise (or at least for me) was Sanjaya. He finally steppped up and did something that wasn't less than par. And I think it was a wise choice for him to go over and dance with Paula. So good job, Sanjaya! You don't deserve to go home this week.

Posted: 4/4/07 at 10:29amSanjaya was charming last night... and that line was hilarious, I sincerely hope Sanjaya wins the competition.... Melinda is leagues better than any of the other competition, and I really don't understand why the judges are so wowed by LaKisha, I sincerely don't think that she is all that good.

LOL!!! Phil is Dobby the house elf. That is so hysterical.
I cannot stand to look at him anymore. Get him out of there!

Luscious, that is classic!
I actually think Phil looks like a little bit like a sleestack (anyone remember the sleestacks?), because his head sort of comes to a "point."
Sanjaya, although not anywhere near on the level of the other contestants, is really quite cute to watch. He is just adorable. He makes a fool of himeself every week, and it's actually somehow endearing. Too funny and yet very strange. His is the performance I actually look forward to most every week, because I just want to see what he's going to attempt next.
I liked Melinda last night - she looked great too. I still don't know what all the fuss is over JordIn. She's good, but not as spectacular as she is made out to be.
I think Gina or Haley (despite the showcasing of the nice gams) may be going home tonight.

Its absolutly appauling that ANYONE would vote for Sanjaya. He acts like a silly little 13 year old girl. Him being on the show is a joke and I hope he is booted ASAP!The kid has NO talent and is NOT charming in the slightest.
Personally I think Jordan should win. she is the most marketable and has a great voice. Melinda and Lakishka will get good deals regardless of weather they win or not.
