Melinda and Jordin are standing out to me more and more each week. I thought when Ryan intro'd Lakisha as "singing what she believes" we were gonna hear some Whitney.
I'll be there for the taping tomorrow. Can't wait!

Jordin was amazing last night. i hope she wins
Even though if Melinda wins, I won't be disappointed. I didn't like Fantasia, but Lakisha did not do that song well. I hope it is her or Chris.
Even though I will say even Chris did well

Does it bother anyone else that Bottom Boi Blake cannot seem to pronounce the letter P? For instance, from last night: "Imagine all the BEE-BLE, living life in BEECE..." rewatch it. You'll see what I'm talkin bout. It was lovely but too short. I wanted more. Interpret that how you will.
Ok, now, I heart me some Jordin like a mo-fo, but THAT was the best performance by any idol ever? Randy Jackson is a dumbass.
MindyDoo was great as per usual (and of course I'm biased) singing a Faith Hill song I LURVE. What a great second place finisher she'll be.
Hate Chris Rich.
Hate Kiki.
Love me some Phil. His head kinda had a 5 o'clock shadow tho. Even weirder than usual. But I do like his voice quite alot.
Who's going tonight? Kiki.

Posted: 4/25/07 at 8:56pmThis has been so heartbreaking tonight. It is kinda nice to see some people at my school actually donating some of their money...It seems to be hitting at least the college students pretty hard, many seem to not know about these problems.

Posted: 4/25/07 at 9:29pmIt scare me how few people know about the One Foundation -- or about extreme poverty. I made about 250 phone calls last night just because I wanted to hit the 50 million votes -- by the way did they hit that number last night?

Posted: 4/25/07 at 9:50pmNo one is going home tonight. They'll say our votes helped saved the children in Africa and our Idols.

I only watched the last five seconds, or so, when they reaired the phone numbers.
Who got cut?
Personally, I wouldn't listen to Phil Stacy if my life depended on it.

Posted: 4/25/07 at 10:02pmHowever, the votes from this week's round will be added to next week's, and the bottom two next week will be sent home.

Wow.
Has anyone been keeping up with TelevisionWithoutPity? Me thinks I'll read some later.
I still wouldn't listen to Phil. Jordin and Blake, yes!

next week good bye chris
blakes gay?????????

Posted: 4/25/07 at 10:13pmDid they reveal who the bottom three this week are? God, that would be awful for them-- talk about pressure puts a whole new spin on singing your heart out.

Blake being gay is purely speculation and wishful thinking.

Oh, who the hell cares if he's gay or not? He's got a nice voice and he's rather adorable.
My mother and I had a rather interesting and random discussion over Jordin and Blake being on Broadway. I couldn't tell you how it began... but somewhere along the way, I blurted out "OOh RENT! Blake can be Roger and Jordin can be Mimi!" Honestly, I have no idea why I thought of RENT. I sometimes have the bad habit of randomly interjecting the first thing that comes to my mind.
Anyways, it was nice that no one went home, although I was sort of hoping that Chris would get the boot. Not to sound rude, and I certainly don't wish to offend any Chris fans here, but his voice just aggravates me. It's almost unbearable to listen to him at times. I often wonder how he got through voice lessons (that is, if he took any) without getting that nasal quality fixed. Also, has any one else noticed when they do the group songs that Chris doesn't have as large of a solo as Phil or Blake? Maybe that's just me...but it seems like they're purposely giving him less to sing.

Posted: 4/26/07 at 1:03amHey all! Just came back from Disney Hall. It was a lot of fun. Josh Grobin and those kids were the highlight for me. They had a huge screen up so we could see the live feed from CBS studios and when they showed Paula and her girls up there on stage (what was she wearing!?!) the whole theatre gasped.... it was hilarious.

Posted: 4/26/07 at 1:04amTo me, the folks from American Idol will always be amateurs. Can't help it.

So, Academy Award-winner Jennifer Hudson will always be an amateur to you?
Grammy-winners and multiplatinum selling Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood will always be amateurs to you?
Really?
American Idol is merely one avenue, one opportunity for talented people to be discovered. To blanket the entire show is just foolish.
