Oh, Paige, honey.
I'd like Simon to explain to me exactly how she has the best voice of all the girls.
Paige is pitchy
EEEEEEEK Paige... ouch, my ears hurt SO much... She should have been gone a LONG time ago...
Not trying to be funny but I think Miley may have had a hairlip at one time.
Why am I still watching this show??? These people are all torture so far.
Agreed Danmag.... How could Miley say he wasn't boring? he was SO boring and if I hadn't taken a nap earlier, I would have fallen asleep...
:/ I really just need Didi to come save the day
Ellen is really becoming hideously annoying to me.
I think Ellen's on a roll tonight, lovin it! She just said Aaron must be in third grade, LOL!
Crystal - UNBELIEVABLE I bet the jobs are already coming in for her.
She's good, but to me, all of her songs sound the same..
LOL....when Krystal sat down on that rug with Ryan, I was waiting for her to pull out a bong....
ew, this stinks.
Go away, Andrew. Just go away.
No one has successfully sung this song on Idol.
LOL...I always think of those damn dancing raisins when I hear this song.
I feel like Katie's voice is stuck in her soft palate.
^ good assessment
I feel like eating some raisins right now.
It makes me feel choked just listening to it.
Casey's doing The Power of Love - one of my favorites, because I'm a massive Back to the Future fan. He better do it justice.
Simon, shut up.
Siobhan = the love child of Anna Paquin and Audrey Tautou.

So, was last night the worst night of performances ever on AI? Paige, Tim, and Andrew were absoluetly awful, Didi was off, and Katie was terrible. Other than Crystal, no one stood out in a positive way.
Huey. F*cking. Lewis.
What else really needs to be said?
Still love me my Lee...mostly cause I want his **** in my *****.
Siobhan needs to bring the crazy every week. And up it exponentially.
Sourbox for the win.

I don't think Kris was in the mix of the top three until much later on. Wasn't there at least one shock elimination?
Anyway, this year is a mess. I watch when i can. Last night I saw it all and was laughing at the judges. Kara really bugs me. They are right about tim, but he wasn't grabbing at anyone. The tweens were grabbing at him and he was recipricating by shaking hands, no? He has a big tween fan base and Kara goes off on him "you haven't earned that yet" she is a bitch sometimes and uses the same phrases often. We only need one of those type judges. Also...they just lambasted Andrew Garcia but give Katie props for picking a young song, so therefore, she gets a sort of pass. SHE WAS AWFUL. He can sing.
I still think Crystal is the most natural of the girls. And the blonde half shirted guy has a larry the lamb voice so i don't get all the whoop. Last night he was alright, he had help though.
Damn, I love Siobhan, but she is falling into that predictability Lambert fell into last year with the screaming.
The note worked on "Think" and "Paint It Black" but was totally unnecessary on "Superstitious".

When I first heard he was doing The Power of Love, I thought it was the Celine Dion song! LOL

See, I feel like the difference between Siobhan and Adam is that with Adam, the crazy glory notes were/are a key part of his vocal styling, but didn't really DEFINE each performance he gave. I know there were definitely people who got annoyed with him and felt like he did the "scream" too much, but for the most part it just never felt to me like the REASON to watch his performances was for the glory notes, you know?
Whereas with Siobhan, she needs to really work on making sure that each performance is unique and not karaoke in GENERAL. Because the problem right now is that everything hinged on the glory notes because the rest of the performance was a bit too karaoke to carry it. I mean she sounded really GOOD, but still, it just felt like upscale karaoke.
Now with Paint It Black, THAT was amazing to me, even though the vocals were actually weaker than they were last night, because she made the song SO her own, and I could totally see the kind of artist she would be after Idol. It felt like I was watching a Siobhan Magnus concert rather than a talented singer doing upscale karaoke.
With Superstition, it just didn't feel that way. And I'm not quite sure what it was.. I hesitate in saying that any of the contestants should ALWAYS rearrange the songs because sometimes it DOES totally work to do the song very true to the original. But I think it just depends. And I think Superstition the way she did it was just too outdated, whereas the Paint It Black performance- everything from the arrangement to the way she presented it- was so unique and engaging, and current!
So yeah, I wish the judges would talk to her about THAT, rather than harping on the glory notes so much. Because I feel like if the rest of the performance is strong and engaging enough, it's not going to MATTER if she does or doesn't do the glory notes, or where she puts them. The glory notes should never have to MAKE the performance- they should just be a part of the over all vocal styling :)
