Hee! I'll admit it...I freaking love Neil. I can't help myself. He's the Jewish Elvis!
Brooke's first song was terrible. She looked so uncomfortable and that smile was not genuine. I think this is her last week.
If Jason gets any farther I might just slug somebody.
Wow, Paula is even crazier this week than she normally is.
And they were all pretty much average.
Not a fan of them rushing through the show like this.

Wow, Paula's getting senile.
And I never liked Jason, but he just gets worse every week.
Just send Brooke and Jason home, and have the top three I wanted all along.
agreed and david A as well

Catching up on the DVR. I squealed when Simon said Brooke was a nightmare! Loved it.
I honestly cannot understand why people hate Brooke and love David A. Seriously, he looks like a little kid on that stage doing the same thing every week (and adding more and more runs every week).
Brooke isn't the best on the show, but I think she has done much better than David.
And this was Jason Castro's first decent performance in WEEKS (Forever in Blue Jeans). He deserves to go before David Cook, but this performance was not horrible
I am beginning to think that this show is rigged more and more.
Brooke's first performance was dreadful.
But I think Jason needs to go. I just cannot stand him.

I hated her second performance, too. Bleah.
Jason - first song very good, second blah
David Cook - both songs decent, second better than first but neither as good as he can be
Brooke - first song awkward, second song very strong
David A - I just can't stand him. Took two songs I really like and added all these ridiculous runs - just trust the material. Again, getting a pass for a BLATANT voice crack
Syesha - both songs were pretty good - she's grown on me in the last couple of weeks - and her hair looked amazing this week. She looks much better like this!
Syesha picked a good time to pick up her game. Brooke is just weak everytime. Jason has lost the fire. Pork Chop i just tune out cause i can't stand him. cook is clearly the best one in the competition.
Oh, and was THIS week finally enough ammo for the producers to fire Paula Abdul's drunk/stoned/idiotic butt off the show already???

Jason- I still like the tone of his voice and everything, but he has just completely given up at this point! He so obviously doesn't care anymore, he puts ZERO energy into his performances! It's a shame because he really can be very good, but... yeah. He needs to go
David C- First one wasn't BAD at all, pretty much just his usual awesomeness :) Nothing too special though. But his second one? AMAZING. Can I have it on my ipod, like now, please? <33 He is just brilliant and I love his so effing much
Brooke- First one, NOT good. Cute, but not good. Second? Soooo much better! THAT'S more like the Brooke I came to know and love early on in the season! I still felt like she was a little... on edge tonight or something. Like she seemed very.. fidgety or something, it was wierd. But definitely a really nice performance I thought!
David A- He's got a really pretty voice, but he's just boring as all get up! He's just... not a particularly good performer when he doesn't have a slow ballady song to vibe with.
Syesha- I thought she sounded really nice tonight, but... not incredibly memorable
Jason SHOULD go home, but I have a feeling Syesha WILL.
I'm watching my dvr now. The show just started, and already I have 2 comments..1. Ryan Seacrest has become Dick Clark indeed. He's sooo clean cut, freshly shaved, and now looks a little older and beefier in the face. When he starts the show with ..."THIS. is. AMEERRRICAN IDOL." I want to slap him across the face.
2.It's hard to take Simon seriously when I look at his head. That is the most asinine hairdo I ever saw. I know I keep saying it. I hate it!
So far, Jason seems like he picked up his guitar at home and is singing to himself. I still think he's so cute.

Jason IS adorable- I will give him that!
and he seriously has some incredible blue eyes. Like, really incredible. They sparkle when he smiles!
It's pretty obvious the judges want Jason to go this week and I'm sure their comments will sway the votes in that direction. They want a boy to go home this week so they can have two boys and two girls in the final four, and they don't want either of the two Davids to go because, ultimately, that's who they want to be the final two. David A. should win. He is the quintessential American Idol. David Cook doesn't need to win and probably is praying he doesn't. He's good, but not as good as he thinks he is.
oy Paula thought jason sang twice after his first song.
Anyway, I don't believe I loved syesha's first song. She really should stay while Jason goes, but I don't want to stop looking at Jason. Shame on me!
Can David A. win without any performing skills?
"Can David A. win without any performing skills?"
Of course; it's American Idol. He's 17. He'll grow into it.
And the reason Paula thought Jason had sung twice after his first song is pretty obvious. They watched them perform in rehearsal, took notes, and pre-judged their performances.
David A. is the quintessential American idol?
he's mediocre at best. If he wasn't a "pretty" 17 year old boy he'd have been eliminated a while ago.

See, I agree with the first half of that, because as a diehard David C fan I'd rather him NOT win so that he can have the artistic freedom to make the music he's actually capable of. I fear that if he wins he'll be tied down by a stingy record contract and be forced to sing certain songs and stuff that aren't anywhere NEAR as good as the music he'd make himself
DON'T agree with the second half however, haha. There was definitely a time when I thought he seemed maybe a little bit conceited, but he's completely and totally won me over personality wise. I think he's confident that he knows what he's doing, but certainly doesn't think he's better than he actually is. He seems like a very sweet, humble, intelligent guy :)

What makes you think he'd have any more artistic freedom? The winners and runner-ups are contractually obligated and do what they're told. Period.
