If he wins, then we'll know it isn't fixed!
Who was voted off?
Please David Archuleta!

No! Dammit!
Did you notice Ryan never actually said Brooke and Syesha were the bottom two, just that the three others were safe? Idol is very manipulative, and they know that whoever is in the bottom two has their fans rally the next week, so they must either want Syesha safe or want whoever actually was in the bottom two (I'm assuming Jason) to go home next week.
Jason wasn't voted off because his beautiful voice matches his beautiful eyes. And David A. isn't going anywhere. He's the next American Idol, and anyone who can't see that is just as dumb as a stump. In fact, for so called theatre people and wannabe performers, you have the worst taste and some of the silliest, least informed opinions I've ever seen and heard.
Jason has a beautiful voice? I haven't heard it.
"Jason has a beautiful voice? I haven't heard it."
Then you're listening with a tin ear.
I was sad to see Brooke go, even though I knew she'd never win. I think her reaction to the elimination was genuine though I know a lot of people think she's phony. I think she's very insecure and this was huge for her. I plan to buy her cd when it comes out.
And on a side note, I think the Ford commercials are cute and I was thrilled this week that they sang "Catch The Wind," which is one of my all time favorite songs. Does anyone know if a full version of that rendition of the song is available on ITunes? I can't seem to find it.
Princeton, it was sung by Donovan. Did you search that way? Or you can buy his cd, I'm sure.
I liked Brooke, but I wasn't surprised to see her go. What I am surprised about is that Syesha is the only female left.
Luscious, love how your opinion is righter than mine. Love it. Has anyone else heard Jason's beautiful voice? I've only heard moaning and whining, particularly during "Memory."
newgirl, very much agreed. It was time for Brooke, even though I love her, but I can't believe Syesha's still there. I love her new look, though. The hair is gorgeous!

Get of your hight horse.....your opinion means Sh*t to people on this board !! Jason definitly has a beautifull face but, the voice..really????.. not so much!
David A. may win but, if he does ,I dont think his albumn would sell. I think people will quickly be over him, as I already am. He does have a beautifull voice and he is as cute as a button, but he doesnt have a personality. and this whole "awwww shucks" attitude is a bit annoying.
Brooke almost had me in tears last night. I LOVE her genuine attitude.
I was very happy syesha stayed. I think that she has one of the better voices left and I am beginging to like her personality more and more each week. I would LOVE it if she won.
My pic to win now though is David Cook. He is the most marketable and would do really well.
I don't think any performance was that great this week. Though I did enjoy Natasha Bedingfield's performance. She sounds great live.
I was recently watching AI Rewind Season 2 finale. You know, These kids can't hold a candle to how great Clay and Reuben sounded. Every performance was perfect.

Every performance was perfect? mateo, did you see Clay's rendition of "Grease?!"
I remember he sang a really beautiful version of "Solitaire," though. And I loved Ruben's "Superstar" and "A Whole New World."
There was more of an innocence to the show during the first couple of seasons.
Clay's "Bridge Over Troubled Water" was one of the best performances on Idol I have ever witnessed. Recently, Melinda's "Home" comes close.
I mean in the finale. The level of talent they had.
I mean, here we are in the top 4, and well, it just doesn't seem like it.
Actually, I don't think his 'Grease' is that bad (Watching on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yTC05jQYPP4) he has stage presence and never off pitch, unlike Archuleta who can't sing up-tempo to save his life.
Plus, there wasn't a poorly coordinated effort of hand-waving back then.
The hand-waving and clapping has to stop.

snl, personally, I hated his Bridge Over Troubled Water. I thought it was way too over-the-top. Honestly, I don't like anyone's version but Art Garfunkel's. All of the beauty and sentiment was lost with Clay's big delivery, the addition of the choir, etc. I don't like Clay now, but back when he was on on Idol I did, and I do think he sang a lot of other songs beautifully. Just hated his "Bridge." Season 2 was fun, and I remember really liking the final three.
Locke, Aiken and Studdard all had their flaws, but it was great when the final contestants were actually able to really harmonize in a group number! Last night was a total freaking embarrassment. Only David A. stands out as singing well in the group parts to me, even though, overall, I think David Cook has more going for him.

Back to Paula - do you all think she writes her critiques of the singers before the show?
SNL, it seriously does. I can't deal.
Cook is the only one ready for a hit "career" right now. Archuleta is easy listening at its best, and I'm sure he will be successful in later years, but not now.

totally shbert, he's so boring right now. He needs to learn how to work a crowd.
The crowd squealing everytime someone hits a high note has to stop, too.
Paula is too nice to call them "critiques".
Cook needs a recording contract NOW. Syesha needs to join Hairspray on Broadway as a Dynamite. Archuleta needs more time to mature, and Jason can go back to Hempville.
