I hope so.
Me too - I thought she was amazing.
Jason needs to pack his bags
I can not for the life of me figure out how Jason has gotten this far.
Jasnon's given up.
Syesha was the best tonight.
STILL don't understand the praise Pork Chop gets. he's NOT THAT GOOD.
Cook had one of his weakest nights and was still great.
The final 2 will be Pork Chop and Syesha. (jason's clearly gone as long as he can without marijuana and it's begun to affect his performance and Cook isn't the David America loves, which boggles my mind)

Two threads. Fun! Since this is the original I'll post here.
Hated Cook's Duran Duran cover but I'm hoping he'll do a great job in the 2nd number.
Syesha leaves me cold and I was thoroughly unimpressed. She does not have the voice, the personality or the balls to pull off Tina. Both Melinda Doolittle and Tamyra Gray's Tina covers blew her out of the water. She looked great and she sings fine, I guess. I will just never, ever warm to her, and I see nothing special there.
Liverpool, I agree, it seems like Jason just doesn't care enough to even try anymore.
Loved the Porkchop's first song. I want the final two to be the two Davids.

David A was definitely the best tonight. I still don't necessarily want him to win though.
No one this season really grabbed my interest and made me a die hard fan. I didn't vote once this season.
If archuelta showed ANY Variety i might understand his appeal, but he has not shown an ability to sing an uptempo song. Hell he hasn't even sung a mid tempo song.
And yeah, even beyond Jason's terrible performance, his song selection was ATROCIOUS. Bob Marley and Bob Dylan? REALLY? You sing a song about killing a police officer and a song that was code for drug use. HMM.
WTF???????
David A was definitely the best tonight.
THIS MAKES NO SENSE. he was boring, uninteresting ad repetitive. STOP WITH THE GOD DAMN RUNS IN EVERY SONG. Its unnecessary and doesn't sound good.
Try singing something that isnt an elevator version of a famous song.

Then who else was the best tonight? David A was consistently great on both of his songs. In my personal opinion, he was the best. How does that not make sense?

When Sam Cooke sings this song my throat hurts and my eyes fill. If anyone is unfamiliar with it, give it a listen. You'll be glad you did.
With Syesha...nothin.' Absolutely ALL of the meaning is lost for me. She just doesn't have the ability to move me.
Please tell me that Syesha did NOT compare her experience on AI with the Civil Rights Movement. TWICE?
I completely agree with you Blueroses. Syesha has never been able to show emotion when she sings. All that crying she did during the judges critique needed to be shown while she was singing. Although i don't care for her, Jason is even worse and should finally get the boot. I still don't understand how he was ever in the top 12.

Liverpool, I loved Archuleta tonight!
Should Cook win? Probably, sure, and it will be well-deserved. He's ready to record right now, he's confident and comfortable in front of a crowd and I'd be happy for him.
I know Archuleta is wet behind the ears, he has to grow a lot, etc., but I still say he has a natural gift, and I think he's more than just a pretty voice because he has the ability to convey emotion and make ME feel when he gets it right with his song choice. To each their own, I know...I just still like the kid.
I'm rooting for the Davids for final two.
oy, how can you not remember a line from Mister Tambourine man?? That was pathetic. I swear Jason is either an airhead or high. He just stands there grinning no matter what. NO matter what! Or is he just so damn cool? Of course we know why he's still there-he's hot and the little girls love him. Me too.
I can't see David A. as an American Idol. I don't think he has the social skills yet.
everything people are sayinga bout syesha is EXACTLY how i feel about Pork chop. He'd dead behind the eyes, and completely disingenuous.

So I'm worried about David Cook. Simply because his "off night" really wasn't THAT off at all. He still was great- his usual awesome self. But... for HIM, it was just OK, and that's the worst place to be. The people who do terribly generally get pity votes and popularity votes from their fanbases. The people who do incredibly get legitimate votes. But the people who just have good- but not GREAT- nights get left in it.
I *think* it'll still be alright, but... please, for anyone who's a David C fan and still wants him to be in this thing, VOTE VOTE VOTE!! DON'T assume he's safe because he's really, really not! In fact I think there are quite a few people who seem to think Syesha did better than him. And even though I DO think that with any luck Jason will go tonight, .. he has a really big fanbase still, and his doing awefully tonight is only going to make them vote more.
So yeah.. maybe it's just superstition because the top 4th spot seemes to be the most cursed of all (Tamyra Grey, Latoya London, AND Chris Daughtry- all sent home 4th when they were some of the top contenders), but.. yeah. I'm worried. haha
I'm also worried by the fact that.. he seemed a little bit disconnected tonight. And that is NOT like him. It makes me worry about if something maybe got worse on the AC front :/ I really, really hope not for his sake! That would be such terrible timing, as if it isn't a hard enough situation already! But that was kind of my first thought when I saw how.. sad he looked tonight. It's just not like him to not put much effort into his performances. And his "not putting much effort" wasn't like Jason where it's like "meh, I just don't care anymore. This thing is lame". It was like... you could tell he WANTED to be in the zone, and he was really angry at himself for NOT being, but something just seemed wrong. Which, given the current AC circumstances, makes me worry.
as for the others:
Syesha- she's good, she is, but she's just ridiculously unoriginal
Jason- poor thing, he is just so not IN it anymore! I think he's given up. But I really do feel bad for him. He seemed really embarrased by how poorly he did tonight, and... he doesn't seem to get embarrased easily. At all. lol
David A- Ok, I'm not even a huge fan of his anymore, but I will give credit where credit is due. He was the strongest of the night. With David C coming in second, even on his WORST night thus far. haha
God, if Cook goes home this'll be the most boring top 3 in history.
I think David C. was the best tonight.
David A. was good, but boring.
And I must be the only one, but I kind of liked Jason's second performance, even though he forgot the words. I think he even sounded a little bit like Dylan, in a nasally sort of way.
I do, however, think his first performance was so bad, that he will probably be going home next week.
Jason may not have performed well at all, but there's no denying he isn't a terribly entertaining pothead.
"Yes, the brutalities of progress are called revolutions. When they are over, men recognize that the human race has been harshly treated but it has moved forward." - Les Miserables
David Cook is my favorote. Has been and will remain so. I enjoyed him last night as always... But gotta say HUNGRY LIKE THE WOLF was just... OK.
Jason... I have NO IDEA how he's gotten this far AT ALL.
Syesha was great VERY impressed.
David A... BORING BORING BORING
If Jason does not go home this week, then the voting is even more fixed than everyone thought.

Jayson has come this far, not on talent-but bec of his fangirl base. This is not a talent contest, but a popularity contest. Look for David C. or Sayesha to go tonight...Jayson should unpack his bags, the girls will save him. This show has lost it's credabilty after last season, when the old Grey man won.
Where the hell were his fans when his album was released? It tanked!
It kills me how they get 30 million votes for the winner and his debut album bombs...
I would love to see the top 2: The two Davids, but I don't think it's going to happen.
I this Jason Castro's time has come. If he survives tonight there is no justice.

Not necessarily. I do think they f--k with the numbers, but I wouldn't be surprised if Jason gets more actual support, fair or not. He probably has a bigger fanbase than Syesha.
"Jason may not have performed well at all, but there's no denying he isn't a terribly entertaining pothead."
Which is why I'd be perfectly okay with him outlasting Syesha.
Jane, for you. Another one:

Lol Blue, that one's even worse! Why can't they get it right?
I do find it remarkable that these two young men have already reached the level of having dolls made of them. I can't say that about myself!
